If a guy can afford both, why bust his balls? Isn't capitalism and the ability to do WTF you want with your money the basis of American culture?
You dodged the question. In what world is a 5k coffee maker better than 5k in guitar gear? I don't think he is dedicating his life to being a barista, lol. He actually cheaped out on buying a new amp about a year ago. Now I know why. He bought a coffee machine instead.

Over here our more conservative party sometimes pretends to be tough on immigration but one thing is for sure they never stopped it. So they are just as bad. They use it as lazy way to achieve economic growth rather than planning for a more stable population base and having policies to promote economic growth from a stable population. Unfortunately over time the country loses its identity to immigration and now there are all manner of problems from a population that has no shared values, traditions or religion.

You had me up until the last part. Shared values and traditions are good. We don't need a shared religion. Everyone is free to practice their own religion or no religion at all.

A world where you already have enough gear and would like better coffee. A world where 5k is not much in the scheme of your annual income or savings. A world where when you are older you can afford some luxuries because you don't have to leave it to anyone.
If 5k isn't much to you then why were you crying like a drama queen over a day or two when your retirement funds took a hit? You're dramatic.

Point being. If he has all the gear he already wants, then he can spend his money on whatever he wants. It's actually none of anyone else's business.

Because when you are retired your income is derived from investments like the sharemarket and if the sharemarket tanks it affects the longevity of your retirement savings.

Really go back to school mate.

When you announce your 5k coffee maker on the forum you just made it everyone's business.

My old man is in the same boat you are but I didn't hear him crying like a bitch about it.

I have five amps and over a dozen guitars a banjo, banjolele and a bass I don't need more guitar gear.

A decent coffee maker is more common in Australia than the US as well. There is a reason why Starbucks failed in Australia. We have better coffee on average obviously.

You can stick to your crappy keurigs or whatever you call them

Spoiled, so you find new stuff to complain about.
You can't live on "things" mate. The big picture is the world economy and your investments for retirement.

Why do I even bother trying to explain elementary things to you.

Also when you are older you just might have accumulated some stuff. Funny about that.

Well I am guessing your retirement plan is on more solid ground than mine and I just spent like $3000 to keep my 11 year old cat alive. I can live with that.
Yes and VonDumbFire has children to support. I don't have that. He spends his money on other stuff don't you worry about that.

Let's see how what he spends on his children over 25 years or whatever adds up compared to my guitar gear and coffee machine.

Do you use that fake boar hair brush I sent you ?

I'm 100% badger these days.

I'm selling most of our stuff in preparation to move. I have over 5k in guitar gear which beats the hell outta your lame ass coffee maker every day mate. American's have better guitar gear than Australians.

I hope your cat is ok. I've been there with pets. So hard.
Dude, I hate vets. I did find a new one after the $2500 episode, but only because the jack off tried to make me bring the cat in for a visit every 3rd order of the really fucking expensive prescription food he has to have the rest of his life.

I've spent a small fortune on cats, dogs and strays and wildlife rescues. I don't mind the money. I like animals way more than I like people.

I use it when I travel but I bought more some higher density synthetic brushes and I use them mostly because I liked the no soaking instant use concept. So the synthetic one you sent me was my introduction to synthetic brushes.

I won't criticize VB for his lifestyle either brother. That's y'all's thing.
