I've played two Mk IIIs in my life and preferred the Mk IVs I've owned and played through. I guess i just haven't played through the right Mk IIIs because to many killer players such as you and Ralph speak so highly of them.

For that particular Sykes tone the Mark series Boogies are great for it. Your XTC can do more than a Mark III or IV and it's of course better for anything Marshally though.

Thats one thing the Ecstasy does better than a lot of high gainers. It hits the middle ground between clean and searing gain better than most. Talkin about the Blue channel. Incan go from that tone in the vid to AC DC or Led Zep type tones. I couldn't with most amps i've owned.

Sounds great as usual. I find using a Les Paul style guitar gets me closer to Sykes especially when he solos in the neck position.

Man, this is just too cool. What kind of guitar is that you're playing? Gibson or Epi or ? The electric I mean obviously.
