Well my offer was DENIED

Didn't the JM Two Rock sell for close to that originally? I think they were $8500. They'll only go up in value because only a small number were made...

I don't remember the exact price, but yeah they were already up there. So the low production, being #1, and the fact it will most likely increase in value and all I don't think it's too out of hand. Although, if I was looking for an amp of that nature and had the funds I'd also give a strong look at the Custom Clean (I think this and the JM share some similarities) or the 10th Anniversary...

The Two Rock John Mayer Amp lists and sells for $8500 new and I think there are a few for sale at that price as I type this.

I am sure the amp sounds increadable as evidenced by the clip above. That said there are cheaper ways of getting there if alls you wanted was a great sounding amp (A legit blackface 1965 Fender Twin Reverb with JBLs comes to mind) That said the Two Rock amp does kill and its real value is in the collector realm which is against what I normally go for but I do love the tones JM gets,

That said this particular amp being 1 of 25 and the first one made with a documented video of JM playing through it will defiantly hold up in collector circles (read cork sniffing tone snobbery circles). Say what you will about JM but he is crazy talented and has won every award you can a million times. Does that mean anything in the real world, umm I say it does.

Does it sound like I am trying to talk myself into hitting the buy it now

Brad, honestly, if you can afford it, GET IT. It'll only go up in value. And it really doesn't matter if some ppl talk trash about john mayer, but honestly, in a few years, he'll be up there with the Claptons, B.B. etc.... it seems unlikely now, but the man's career so far shows he'll become a music god with time.

so, if I could get it without compromising other important stuff in my life, I would!

FWIW ;)

If it were me, I say hit hte buy it now, and call it a day. If it really means that much to nyou (emotionally), and he is one of your guys, do it and don't look back

It sounds great, and will probably hold value or appreciate.

To me, that's a case of the player making the amp sound even better.

I'm pretty sure he could cop 99% of that through most anything.

Now buy it anyway

Not Much of a difference between that and the Custom Reverb Sig 2.
I have the Jade and the CRS2 and gotta tell you K&M make some killer sounding amps.

You will enjoy playing it because their amps just sing.

For 10 grand not for me and don't really think it will hold it's value. Two Rocks Limited run amps like the Kimock are great amps and cost a hell of a lot but I've seen a few of them tried to be sold for what they were bought for and never happen. They always lose a bit a value. They are not as sought after as a Dumble though IMO are a better sounding amp.

But bro to each his own if you like it and want it then brother go get get it and enjoy!

Brad.....from the talk on TGP about the new 10th anny model for thousands less that is the TR to get if you have the funds. Some of the best TR guys are going nuts about that amp.

Bro you can also make an offer and see what happens maybe save a few bucks.

Tell him you'll give him the $10k if he can round up a few pairs of Jennifer Anistons worn panties (then sell those to barzini for $9k   )

Already made an offer and it was DENIED. :D

i still consider the two rock clean sound the one to beat and i am a clean
tone freak. the two rock dirty is still more of a hit and miss venture.
some like the bluesy fusion it excels at, others want more marshall fire,

which is why a two rock and a peacemaker two amp rig would own supreme.
