Uber ultra vs rev green uber

Honestly could’ve backed the bass off a bit and did some more tones, but feel like so many people dial them in to be juggernauts so went that route. The rev green with the bass lowered can do some real killer shit

I actually prefer the Ultra shockingly enough. The green reminds me of a rectifier with the mids.
The ultra would sit in a mix great, with pretty little effort. It’s a great amp, I really don’t get the hate. Some settings can get a little weird, but I think all bogners are that way…

By themselves I'd rather take the Ultra, but with a great boost it's anybody's ballgame.

Ultra offers so many tonal options. It’s a killer amp. The older Ubers can hold their own but IMO are too low end dominant.
Apples oranges. Depends on what style of music you’re playing.

It really is. Great value too for what you can get them used for.

I did screw up a bit not rolling the low end back on both but figure that’s what most people wind up doing with them (cranking the low end). When I do a real thorough one on the rev green I’ll roll back the low end show what it’s capable of, because it definitely delivers.

I agree. Your playing was badass, but sometimes the in the room sound records a little dark. I have been struggling with this a bit also.

Thanks.

I also mic right up on the grill for everything. In a mix I usually dial that stuff out a bit. But would rather show it can do that then it can’t, but going forward probably have to showcase both…

Also when things go stereo changes things dramatically

I miss close micing. So much better of a tone.

I have had every uber from Proto to Ultra and multiples of each along the way. The Ultra is the best of all in my opinion. Not that it's worth much. Still have the Ultra though.
