The only Marshall I have any interest in is a JVM410. The BJA has zero appeal to me, but good for whoever likes it.

Probably everyone who will post something to the effect of, “why, what happened? Because I’m not clicking the link just to find out.”

I mean, that's fair - if i click on some retarded youtube thing I can't get it out of my feed for years

I laughed at this nonsense:

1. "There are not that many big mainstream bands after Green Day broke that have really stuck around in the same way..."

2. "...And there definitely aren't any bands that have a signature guitar sound using a Marshall amplifier, to the point where when you hear that sound, you know what band it is..."

This is the kind of hard hitting knowledge that we needed kyle around for, right?

Obviously the amp that Rob Cavallo used on like 48 different recordings that sound exactly like dookie, is definitely BJAs signature sound

He must've taken all my safety glasses remarks to heart cause he has a normal looking pair of specs now even though he looks like he sourced them from 1987.

Exactly. The actual, real amp that Green Day used... so they can have their "one-of-a-kind signature guitar tone"... is owned by a producer who used the same amp on numerous other bands' albums. So how the fuck can it be a one-of-a-kind sound attributed only to Green Day?

Not only that, but how can he actually believe there haven't been any other bands as popular as Green Day since Green Day? Really? I can list 20 bands off the top of my head.

And he really believes Green Day is THE poster child for ubiqutous Marshall amplifier sounds? And that there are no other bands whose music is instantly recognizable from their guitar tones, using a Marshall? Again, I can think of a dozen bands that fit that criteria.

Apparently Kyle isn't familiar with all the Dance Hall Crashers, Muffs, Weezer, and Jawbreaker recordings that are literally that exact amp used on records both before AND after dookie

And not only that, they weren't the ones who popularized THAT specific guitar sound - that was bad religion who popularized the grindy midrange marshall thing for punk bands

Ah ok. Soyface thumbnails are grounds for unsubscribing to a channel imo. I've unsubbed to many channels due to soyface thumbnails alone.

I've been seeing it more and more lately though, so it must be a way to get your videos seen. :dunno:

I don't even think the RT brain trust was being THAT big of dicks about it

It was just an "lol nice soyjack thumbnails kyle"

and he flipped the fuck out lol

Total streisand effect - if he just said "lol yeah gotta play the youtube game" people would have just forgotten about it
