I'm definitely a social misfit, mainly because I don't get into group think and mainstream narratives (outside eastern orthodoxy) but I actually was blessed with a good ability to make friends so a musical life has done me pretty good. I like meeting people and having new adventures doing it.

I think you need to separate this into 2 different categories.
1. Religious Organizations, which have been about the power, control and money for centuries. It's well known, and to say any different is just purposely being a contrarian.
2. Religious peoples, who still connect to their religion on a spiritual level and observe religious holidays. Some see and understand the controlling nature of the religion but somehow look past it for a higher purpose, and some that just blindly follow.
