I find the many members here often fit a personality profile that is on par with their physical location in the United States. I sometimes like to argue too much. That was a thing up north cause when it's 20 below there isn't a lot to do but sit inside and yak. It's been hard to rid myself of that habit.You care, Nancy. The west coast is more of a "me" area of the US, probably due to costs and it being a cultural and entertainment hub. The upper east coast usually displays a "snap my fingers, get it done" vibe since it's a business hub and things move faster there. The south is more poor, and laid back, but often times has higher levels of intentional or unintentional ignorance. I still prefer the south for it's friendlier, more humble, cheaper c.o.l, and bible believing culture...
When I worked in FL tourism I would get a kick out of east coast people coming down and snapping their fingers at me. I would just stare at them and tell them "this isn't New York bro this is the beach". Sometimes they'd get pissed and the boss would have to explain to them that things just don't work like that down here and they were setting themselves up for an unpleasant experience by doing that.

I try to think nice thoughts about people and mostly get along with James even though our views are wildly different in many instances. I guess in the last 20 years peoples politics are less relevant to me than in previous times i.e at the end of the day I dont care.

Politics do seem to be the jump off point for irritation towards other people here as a matter of routine. I guess I have blues music in common so I try to work from there and avoid getting into insults with James.
