That is incredible.

Just taking in the pictures was a bit overpowering for me, knowing that they were taken, in person, by a friend.

Actually being there had to be awesome in the real sense of the word. I am sure the emotions were running in all different directions.

Really cool Mike. Really cool. :salute:

T

Thanks Tony, it was totally unexpected, we were just gonna do the "Dime-tour" drive by the house, the cemetary, normal fan stuff, until he got the call, I actually had to take a xanax to calm down....

I have been to Dime's strip club he used to own called the "Club House" in Dallas...does that count for anything?

sounds like good times. Thanks for posting those pictures, killer stuff. I like that he had a Randy Rhoads poster as well...

WTF. You have got to explain how that went down in a little better detail. I am not asking for names but how did you get that kind of access to his house? It looks like it is set up like a museum.

this thread is awesome! it was really cool to meet juggy/mike especially after owning one of his amps. the way it went down was so funny, im in the studio playing guitar (oh yes playing guitar loud as fuck in the pantera studio) and mike walks in the door with marty. marty is friends wit ha mutual friend and we all hit it off chatting up guitars and amps and of course Dime. later on at dinner at hooters i mention rig talk and the sparks start flying! we already know each other !

hey mike, sorry I didnt get to exodus and we didnt get to hang more, next time we hang it will have to be at ozzys house or something, lol.

I am still sitting here on dimes couch surfing rig talk as we speak!

DIMEBAG FOREVER! GETCHA PULL!

the house is not a museum it is just pretty much untouched since dime was living here. there is so much metal history on the walls here its crazy from notes from zakk wydle , jerry cantrell and ace frehley to the original pantera banner hanging in the garage.

the real treat is the guitar collection, I also have played and checked out all of them and it takes your breath away literally. one day we found one of dimes long hairs stuck in the tuning pegs of one of the deans, we left it hanging and put it back as we found it. you can still feel the man resonating in his guitars, just crazy...

Very Nice pics. I hope they don't let anyone play the guitar he had on when he died. That would be f'ed up!

What are you doing at Dimebag's house?! I've gotta know!

Not sure why you think that, I have played it and I know dime would want it that way...

I wouldn't touch ANY of the guitars if I truly thought he wouldn't like it if he were still here...

basically this.... My friend (Rottingcorpse on this forum) grew up with Dime and Vince and all those guys, I went down to Dallas for the Exodus show, Corpse was gonna give me the "Dime fan tour" basically drive by his house, go to the cemetary, etc... one of the "pantera guys" called Corpse and invited him over to hang out and catch up cause they hadn't seen each other in a while, Corpse told him I was there and would be coming as well, he was o.k. with that, then once there, gave me the royal fan treatment, toured the house, studio, etc.....

better?

it was a blast mike! next time it will have to be planned and well crank up some amps!

BTW, you missed a hell of a show, not alot of people there but Gary and the boys TORE IT UP!!!

could've returned the favor and introduced you to them.....

We opened up for Exodus last night in Austin. They did a good job. I thought Gary was gonna kill his tech though. Wasn't pretty.

no shit? what happened?

thats funny, I offered to tech for him the night before.

Not sure, looked like it was a problem with the sidefill. They didn't soundcheck, the tech (I think his name is Peter) checked all the guitars/monitor mixes then we loaded on stage in front of them.

By the end of the show it looked like everything was cool, though.

I went up and asked Gary about his rig and he didn't seem all that interested in talking. Bummer.
