Holy crap man, I bet it was amazing doing that. Just looking at the pics is amazing. Sounds like you've got connections to some of the coolest guys in metal!

I'm not afraid to say looking at these pics breaks my heart in a million pieces.
Music just doesn't seem the same anymore.
 
I'm sure Dime was just looking down and smiling that some of his fans got to do that. Really cool man. It's just so unbelievable what happened to him, so frickin sad. Crazy people out there man, the guy just wanted to Rock and have a good time and some loony crackpot has to go and take shit that has nothing to do with him and do some crazy shit like kill a guitar player. Just like the John Lennon murder. Anyway rant over. It's really cool that you guys got to do that, guitars are meant to be played, not kept in cases.
 
i should mention that mike (juggernaut) was fine once he had a pill to calm down before went went over there.

that is, until we found out moltenmetal was on rig talk at dinner. those 2 pretty much talked like long lost lovers from that point on!! :lol: :LOL: :lol: :LOL:

when my bro called me and said to come over, mike was on the crapper. i yelled "hurry up, we gotta go somewhere." pretty sure he probably popped a hemmroid trying to hurry up.

i would have been fine just hanging and talking with my old bro all night. everything else was a bonus. he is one of those friends your always just happy to see and talk too. we played together in one of the first texas thrash band back in the early 80's. to be honest, he was a bigger influence on me than darrell was. we actually met at darrell's moms house around 84 or so.

it was a wonderful couple of days having mike down from amarillo. great guy, great friend, and always willing to help no matter what stupid question i ask him. about 6 months ago (before i joined this forum) he was willing to put me up for a few days while my mom was in the hospital in amarillo. any of you guys who know him only though this forum would be blessed to have him as a friend like i do. so it was serendipity that my old bro called up when mike was at the house.

glad you enjoyed yourself mike. now pay me for that guitar you took outta my collection!!! and no, you cant have that amp....not after you dialed it in for me. :rock:

who did you play with? i got here in 87 and started playing out in 88 with a prog metal band called hyd (stupid name, terrible singer, but great music that fit the time.) i spent many a night fucking around arlington or hanging out at joe's in FW. just curious if it might know you. i was close with solitude when they first started up way back when and knew several of them very well.

a couple of my local favs from that era were arcane and sedition. goddamn, i'd love to be 18-19 again and spending a night out at joe's.
