Judging from those pics you were a kid in the candy store. Thanks for sharing a part of Dimebag's life and memories with us.

Thank you so much for re-posting them!! What a great night that had to have been! It makes me so sad that he's not with us anymore. RIP Dime.

Man you have NO IDEA.... I still get chills thinking about it. never in my life did I think I'd be able to do that. Just wish Dime was still with us so I could have jammed with him.

Very Nice pics. I hope they don't let anyone play the guitar he had on when he died. That would be f'ed up!

Not sure why you think that, I have played it and I know dime would want it that way...

I wouldn't touch ANY of the guitars if I truly thought he wouldn't like it if he were still here...

If I have to try to explain it to you then you would never understand. Working for other high profile artists, I know how kids with cameras can be when there let loose on a studio or home of these artists. If I lost my brother in the way that Vinnie, Rita, and family, did I would find that guitar to hold more meaning then the rest.

I don't know Dime and his family at all and you might. But I find it disrespectful to play that guitar. I am not saying his family feels that way because I would not know. IMHO Somethings are best left alone and not in a case for people to gawk at or to play.

I also think it is great that you can get in to his place to see what he is about.

I can see your point, as well as his..... I personally couldn't touch it, was too wierd for me, would be like taking a shit in the toilet Elvis died on. well maybe not, but you get my point.

keep looking there is another thread with even more pics ;) mostly the guitar collection. :D

Unreal man. Absolutely unreal. When I first started looking at the pics I was like "oh, that's cool" but as I kept looking thru them I was amazed but felt sad. Such an awesome experience but I don't know how you guys got thru it. :) I was almost tearing up just looking at the pics. Just to see the KISS stuff, and the messages on the wall, the trash can still filled, etc. Just blew me away. I agree this is the best post on Rig Talk ever.

I remember Ozzy talking about doing the Crazy Train video (updated one for the Tribute album release) and talking about how they opened up Randy's case to get the guitar and his cigarettes were still in the case, etc. and it really blew them away. I bet you guys felt the same way going thru the house.

As sad as it is, I think it is cool that Rita has that house just like he left it. It has to be tough, but also a way to get on with life.

Awesome stuff!

Well we can just agree to disagree on that point. In no way would I ever disrespect Dime or Rita. Thanks for sharing your opinion, though.

Yo Rick, are you guys still in Canada? or have you made it back this way?

Holy shit! How did I miss this first go around? Jugger, once again, You kick ass. Thanks for sharing. Dime was a big influence on me too. I remember the exact point in time. The year was 1991, I was a senior in high school when I heard Cowboys from hell. We were cruising to a party and a dude I hardly knew said "Hey man. You gotta check these dudes out" He then popped in the tape. I was blown away and never looked back.

You are one lucky dog Juggy. :)
