our band, the dixie wrecked band played tonight, we played till 1:00am pacific time, 3 hours ago about 1:10 am the police showed up after our show, to inform our drummer, that his step father of 10 years, our drummer is 41, had commited suicide, our drummer had been at (ricks) there house up until about 6:00pm tonight , he, rick, blew his head off tonight about about midnite. we had just finished playing when they told him the news, I don't even know why I'm telling you this, other than rick had seen many of our shows and should have been there tonight but wasn't, he took his own life instead, we are all in shock, and have no clue why, I guess the only reason I'm writing this is because, I love our drummer and his mother, please pray for her, who I have known for over 20 years, I don't know what to say, but suicide is selfish, please forgive me for writing this, I don't know what else to do, but drink whiskey and cry, every time I had talked to him all he told me about was wanting to get a harley and was wanting my opinion, I'm sorry Mat I love you and your Mom god please watch over them, I'm sorry I'm drunk,,,,,,,..........
 
My deepest sympathy here. Suicide has touched my life as well and it hurts. Prayers out to you!

Man, so sorry to hear this, I've lost some to suicide over the years, and it never makes any sense. People have a lot of stuff going on inside that we know nothing about at the time. We all let each other see what we want them to see. Sorry for your loss Bro, our prayers are with you, and yours - Jim
