Ok I think I have narrowed it down. Gave up on the mini head idea, 1)because most do not have a loop 2) they cost as much as a small combo 3)still taking up as much room as what I have.

Want an amp with fender clean and good with pedals.

Really like the Blues Junior III but there isn't an effects loop. I would run delay, eq and maybe chorus in loop.

The Hot Rod Deluxe III is not much bigger and has a loop, 3 channels, 40 watts so I have more clean headroom and $200 more new. I don't play out so 15 or 40 watts is fine. My Mesa Mk III is 60 watts and I don't go over 3 on volume

Do I really need the loop? Other than running delay and eq in it? Is it worth the extra dough?

My buddy has a Blues Junior. Very nice amp, and takes pedals very well.

If you're running the amp clean, delay and such will sound fine out front. So you probably won't miss an FX loop.

Found a used HR Deluxe III for about the cost of a JR III

Got it with a TC alter ego X4 pedal. Big pedal for my small one row pedal board. Might have to break out the 3 row board. But I can eliminate the Digitec super natural reverb pedal for more room. :scared:

Going to pack the MK III head and cabs up and throw them in storage for awhile.

GC canceled my order on the used TC AE x4 pedal due to it being sold "moments" before I bought it on line

If you looking for a mini head with a loop have you considered the peavey classic mh? I was pretty impressed when I checked one out

Combo takes up less room and I figured the fender would be pedal friendly. There is a little shop close to me that have the peaveys, will check them out just for the fun of it.

Ordered a Fender HR III on guitar center in excellent cond cheaper than the blues junior :D and used the GC credit card.

I will say the HR takes pedals so well its a great choice. I should have never gotten rid of mine. It does have a volume jump but is still workable

I think there is a simple mod to fix volume jump. Change the first pre tube out to a 12ax7 I think. Or something like that. Lowers the overall volume between 9-12 same with the junior.

Yeah was a fender or search for a Hiwatt custom 30 or 50

Since space is limited I might buy a few amp in the box pedals like the blue ecstasy, a plexi pedal, catapulp (Orange)and maybe a slo pedal. Wampler looks good for a few.
