Funny how people complain about low ballers because as buyers those same people never want to pay over ask. When you are buying you are a ow baller. When you are selling you hate low ballers...lol. Define low ball anyway, it is a different main to each person.
False. I bought my Sig:X used for about $1100, which I recon'd was a fair price for a used 100W head, and my initial offer was accepted without haggling, ergo: me not lowballing.
When I sold it for $850, there were so few takers and most folks thought they could come pick it up for $500-600. No fucking way. And I *still* took a big hit for something that sat in a clean studio, without hauling it around.
Currently the market for 100W full size heads has imploded here. Expect to receive less than $800 for an Engl Invader here (one of the reasons I'm not selling mine, which I bought brand-new in a store). My Engl SE was sold for chump change, compared to its new price and it took a long while to find a suitable buyer, who put in a low-ish, but reasonable offer, thus showing more of a willingness to actually negotiate than a guy wanting Ferrari's at Ford Pinto prices.
Maybe some desireable early 80's JCM800's or a Mesa Mark II/III series or a mint Plexi can catch some coin, but Mark IV's ain't moving at $1300-1500 ask. I've seen the same seller trying to get rid of his for many years now.
