Will there be a sound difference using a 120v amp in Europe (230 volts) with a step down transformer???

Lynch always said his Marshalls sounded better on 230 v than 120 because they were originally designed for it. YMMV.

I think any difference you or George Lynch might experience will be pure placebo, especially since you can´t really do a A-B comparison.

I live in Denmark and we have 230 volts. But my IIC+ are 120 volts. I use a quality step down transformer. But can’t change the hertz I’m guessing. Will the hertz’s have any impact on the sound?

Well, he said he "went through it" with Marshall, enough that he considered buying a converter box for $7000, it came down to not just the voltage but the Hz, 60 Hz here in the states, 50Hz in Europe.

Brian May had Pete Cornish source him a CRAZY power supply for touring, so there must be something to it.

Lynch got that shit from the Scorpions but they said the same thing
