You know what.. listening to the clip again, I hear everything hear that I liked about the metroplex at what, a third of the price? I think cork sniffers might not be willing to consider an amp that is not sold for 4k but the tones here are bitchin. The AC/DC section with the boost kicked in for the leads was sick. The VH is pretty damn good too. I imagine with different mic placement you could get it even closer. I might start saving for this one.

If you want to pay 4k I wont turn it down!!!!! This amp has a lifetime warranty,(other than tubes and tolex damage) parts equal or better than what the other guys use. Its less because I deal direct, no crazy dealer markups. You can return it for a FULL refund of the amps price (not including shipping) if it dont just knock you out !

One question I had.. brightness wise I noticed the VH sounding clip had the presence maxed, if one wanted more bite (just a tad more) out of that, is what i am hearing the mic placement or does it lose definition with everything dimed (as a real plexi seems to).

On the VH clip he was using alot of boost,( LED on the pedal was on) if you turn the boost off the amp will have the same response as an old 1st version plexi would.

Ok last question from me because this amp looks like a winner.. the loop, is it transparent enough and can it handle line and instrument level signal?

Its just a line level loop with a mix control. Works good for rack effects, but you would need a buffer for pedals. I am working on one but for now Ceriatone make a Kleinulater for about $200.

Sounds nice and for $1,500... Should they be adding another $2,000 to the price to add mystique. lol

You know what? I price them to what I would pay for a quality amp head. $3500 would for ANY amp head would just be NUTS in my book  !!!
No other M style amp out there like it.

I have a better answer for your question. The way to get a little more brightness would be to turn down the MASTER just a hair. With the boost ON, the power amp starts to really compress at the level he has the MASTER set at (but I think his clip sounds great IMO) If you notice on the first sound sample he does, the master is lower, and the overdrive is brighter.
