I just got this guitar off of fleabay as a "Mint" Standard Custom. Needless to say it's NOT MINT! The first 5 frets are slightly pitted and quite a few frets up high are worn flat from a shitload of bends. I had my tech look at it on Thursday and he said all it needs is a level and crown or Plek job and it will be good to go. The neck is straight and there are some dings and scratches here and there(especially on the back) but overall it's in pretty decent shape for a '97. The case is beat to hell, but works perfectly.

The douchebag that sold it to me isn't replying to any of my emails so I opened a dispute with Pay Pal and a claim is next I'm sure! I'm only looking to get what I paid which is $1450.00 + ACTUAL SHIPPING to your door. I'd be willing to ship it to you and take a pic of the receipt and then you could just PP me the cost.

I haven't worked any deals here at RT, but I did sell a Jackson USA Soloist Quilt Top to RT member danyeo last summer over at HC. He said I could use him as reference as I believe he was quite pleased with the guitar and packing job I did. I also have a shitload of other references on both HC and TGP as well as 100% Positive Feedback on fleabay.

I'd be happy to send you the link for the auction if you'd like as well as take more quality pics.

If you're not interested, that's cool I just thought it worth mentioning. It would sure save me some headaches and you could get a solid(besides the frets) Standard Custom at a reasonable price.

Thanks Man! I like it too! I'm not positive I want to part with it, but I had a '04 Standard Custom that I sold like a dumbass that had a chunkier neck that I prefer. I like this one's neck, but not as much as my '04...

I'm guessing my '04 had the 50's radius then, although I don't think I would describe it as base ball bat size. It was pretty hefty though!

I like wizard profiles so that 50s feels like a bat to me A solid C shape for sure.
