VH on Kimmel

Anyone watch? thoughts? I think the sound guy pulled a very quick mix, Eddie was buried in the beginning. Band A+, DLR C- IMO
 
Ed looked/sounded/played great! His Stealth stacks looked awesome :rock:

Roth didn't fare so well, especially on Dance The Night Away :no:

The band is playing great though.......I'm definitely seeing them in West Palm Beach when they hit Florida!
 
i actually though eddie looked really healthy and happy also.

i actually felt badly for dlr at times
 
So Dave fucked up his nose with the mic first song and had to leave panama to get bandaged up? Fail

anyways band sounded great.
dlr played to the camera too much, as always, and it screwed up his timing. otherwise fun to watch.

You know Ed probably can't stand that guy. He only keeps him around to appease some fans. That's probably why they haven't done another album. I don't think Ed has any plans to do another album with Dave. I think this tour will be Dave's last ride with Van Halen....if and only if they are even able to finish the tour.
 
Sure Dave can't sing but he can spin his mike stand around which was cool...in 1983.
 
I think it's time to hire Ralph Saenz (aka Michael Star from Steel Panther) to replace DLR. Yeah, I said it. He's a better DLR than DLR is now lol. The band is playing great, DLR, not so much.
 
Band sounded great. Eddie looked the best I've seen him look in years. It's time for a new singer. I'd love to see Sammy return, but I know that's not going to happen. Maybe they can bring Gary back and actually record a real VH album this go round.
 
The band sounds great, Dave sounded like he a had a cold. I know that he can't hit the notes, he's been that way since '93, but he sounded congested. I do think that Dave's short hair look is much better than his crypt keeper shoulder length that he's been sporting the last 15 years; so that's a plus.
 
They sound like VH. Roth always dropped lyrics and was a pose whore right from the get go.

Oh and the Sam Halen fans are livid but Roth seems too be the preferred choice from most accounts.
Sams the better singer but not a better frontman in VH.

While watching the show last night, I thought it was one of those breathe right strips. He sounded like total shit, and was an embarrassment to the band. I like how he would cover his ear, then proceed to sound like a cat with it's tail in a blender.

Ed sounded great, but it's time to say good night.
 
Really? Can't stand Dave anymore as a front man either not to mention he doesn't even really sing the songs. The band rehearses without him and then he just comes to the shows and does his shtick...and it shows as he can barely get thru one song anywhere close to the original. And yeah, EVH looks like he's doing/playing really well, that is good to see.
 
I just heard the DLR tune "Ladies Night in Buffalo" - THAT is how he should be singing, not struggling to reach Sammy type highs and failing!
