Correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't the Einstein similarly voiced but more open (less compressed)?

The vh4 with master over 2:00.
interesting... wouldn't this also cause power amp tubes to add compression ?

It does add power tube compression, however amazingly that compressed feel of the preamp section lifts away.

The only amp that sounded more or less close was the Naylor I used to own, but close is really not the right word to use here.

I used to love my VH4, but lately the compression has been getting to me. I've been contemplating selling it, but I'm afraid I'd regret it.

Wizard Modern Classic, Metal. Depends which VH4 channel you are talking about.

 Good God!!
I played my first gig with my Vh4 at a really big club in town and I was able to play around that level!! It was so friggin loud!! BUT.. The tone was sooo good.. I cannot usually get it above 9:00 at most venues though. Bummer.I have been getting a little tired of the compression too. But, I don't think I can get myself to sell it. I just sell one of the other amps collecting dust to fund a new purchase.. PT-100 or XTC probably

The Einstein is a more open sounding amp though, right??? Just not voiced the same?

VH4 is the the only Diezel I haven't played. I actually liked the Einy, the little I played through it. Herbie was to compressed for me to use as an only amp. There was someone a long time ago here that had some really nice clips that I thought represented it well.
