$3,750 shipped/paypaled
Up for sale is a very special amplifier from Mr. Steven Fryette's roots. The VHT 2150 is arguably the finest stereo power amplifier ever made, and here is a Revision VI with the epic purple faceplate. I am the second owner, and upon purchasing I shipped it directly to Fryette for a tune-up. Mr. Fryette did a full retube/bias, replaced the impedance and standby switches, replaced all screws, cleaned all pots and jacks, and performed a full bench/play test (paperwork available upon request). You won't find many of these serviced by the man himself!
I have only used this amplifier sparingly in my studio since the service, but historically the chassis has seen some wear. Honestly, the faceplate is in very good to excellent condition with a few dings and scratches that I have done my best to photograph. The rest of the chassis has additional scratches, marks and dings that would be expected on a vintage amplifier that's lived a good life.
Now onto what really matters - this thing sounds absolutely incredible. Words can't really describe how huge this amp sounds in the room. There is a fullness to the tone that defines its epic status, and it can get absolutely nasty, tight, and ridiculously aggro if you want. It just turns everything into the best version of itself, so if you are looking to run a modeler through a cab this is the end of your search. Or reamp your favorite head and leave its power section in the dust. Grab this legend before it's gone!
