VHT/Fryette Sig:X Switching with a GCX

Is there somewhere where I can order a cable that goes from the MIDI-style plug the Sig:X uses for channel switching to 1/4" plugs to use with a GCX?

I know JerryP at FJA builds cables for 5150 IIs that use a 9 pin (I think) plug for footswitching.

Another company that makes footswitches/accesories would do it, Voodooman for example.

they are called medussa cables. i know bogner makes them for their amplifiers - but they are channel hogs on your MIDI switching system.

regardless, im not really sure where you can get them without paying a tech to make a custom one off for you.

I'll search for that. Thanks a lot. When you say hog how many channels? 3 or 4 I assume?

depends souly on the amplifier and its capable features that are built into it. some more than others.

no problem.

If I could get the ends I could probably just make it myself...hmmmm...

I've also been looking at the Bogner page. It's one pin per option there, so in that case, there should be at most 5 for the Sig:X. I'll have 4 extra channels on the GCX, so if I just don't use the Effects Loop switching option that the Sig:X has, it should work out...

I think this guy well be building me a MIDI switcher for my Sig X. He does good work as cheap or cheaper than any one else. Just contact him and ask.

That or this .... notice the multi-DIN connector. I think I saw some people over here using this (http://www.vhtusers.com/forums/forumdis ... e9e6f&f=15). I am not sure if you can control everything with it yet and would like to know ....

I see they go for about $140

I believe RJM makes a good one also but cost more.
