I never see anyone outside of the Andertons crew talk about Victory Amps. Any of you guys have any experience. Just noticed Zzounds is carrying them now and the 50 watters are reasonably priced.

Saw one get ridden hard at the local GC two years ago. I didn't play it, but it sounded glorious. Definitely a serious tone machine.

I bought one new. The switch in the back broke off almost immediately. I was underwhelmed by the tone. I sent it back

i have to say i was really intrigued by the kraken. never have played one but saw a vid with a bunch of different amps and the kraken by far was the worst sounding one.

I've never been impressed with any of the Andertons videos tone wise except the sounds like mastodon while busting the bank. I think Bea used a Kraken(although with a bunch of pedals) it sounded fantastic to me. Other than that all demos have been kinda mediocre but nobody ever talks about them. I think Phil Mcknight bought two that broke pretty quick after buying them.

I saw Richie Kotzen last year, playing thru his Victory RK combo. Pre-show, the tech came out to test them out and hit 2 or 3 chords, and it was one of the best straight up rock tones I've heard. Just great!

Of course, RK came out and just dismantled the place. Crazy good.

I have a Kraken. It's like a British-voiced 5150, I like it quite a lot. Lots of grunt and low end.

What is really great about it is the fact that it can fit in a backpack (my preferred way of carrying it as I don't like the bag it comes with so much). Super easy to carry for gigs and whatnot. And it's 50 watts, so no worries about running out of power.

Here's a clip I did through a Suhr Reactive Load and then into some Ownhammer IRs.
