constructive criticism is all i was saying, if it was taken with a hurtful tone sorry. but the written word can be more informative than video.

Eddie blew the world away, IMO no one has touched him since. And I'm not talking instrumental nerd music I'm talking the radio. Most of the shredding of the 80's was derived from VH in one way or another, feel, tone, riffs etc...
Priceless, and accurate.

Oh man we just cranked it up and Dan played and I played drums. That amp is sick. The rhythm sound is just perfect and the lead scream, I can't wait to experiment with some pedals for a little added overdrive for solos. I'm taking it in in the morning to Freidman to give it the once over. I love it.

What overdrive pedals do you guys use with Plexi's?

I'm a Tubescreamer fan myself. I can bring one over if you don't have one :D

brown eye, hairy brown eye, custom 45, MV, new caps, new transformers, loop, etc.

No mods just a good going through. I love the no master volume.

that tone is the real deal
take a shredder w/ a bogner, put him on this amp and he won't be able to play 1/4th of what he plays on the bogner

I take this to mean that the amp is totally stock, using their parts?

Yup, but it was a DIY kit not assembled by Nik at Ceriatone and who ever put it together f'd up the wiring pretty bad. Really sloppy and causing some shielding issues. Dave's tricking it out but keeping it stock.

That was a great video  Very nice sounding amp man.
I would love to see a video with a TS808 boosting it just a touch and a super strat with a mid or low gain pup in it  ...Yeah baby!!!

Sent the amp to Dave Friedman yesterday to have it gone through. There were a few issues due to it wasn't assembled by Nik at Ceriatone, it was assembled by who ever first bought the DIY kit and they made a few mistakes. Anyway, Dave crushed it as usual. Fixed the problems, dialed everything in and tricked it out a little. Cracked it up tonight and she is killin'. Dave is a good dude.

So we are assembling a bunch of overdrive pedals and a variac and we're gonna do a part 2 video this week demoing some different combinations of crunch enhancers. If anyone in the LA area has any pedals they want to contribute for the video email me asap:

James

I think we have an OCD, TS808, Boss Super Overdrive and a Carl Martin Compressor.

Very tempting but I doubt it would make it in time. Do you have any form of a treble booster?

I don't think so.
