I'm not a quilt lover but that one ^ is hypnotizing
That Vrad Vader looks cool too. I played a radiation green Vader there & really liked it...but until I lose a few pounds I feel self conscious lol. I never played a headless axe before & it was strange & weird & cool

Ironic, a guy posts about the horrific QC at Kiesel, followed up by lame excuses from a Kiesel employee........and then we get a knob-slobbering, ass-washing (by tongue) rah rah, look at my awesome Kiesel post.

Kiesel= garbage

you are funny and sound like the typical fucking troll.

Just for the sake of entertaining your comment, I will say that I have worked in the customer service industry all my life and have learned that the customer is NOT always right. Where I work we have customers who hate us and some that love us. the ones that hate us do so because we don't put up with their bullshit. I am not saying this is the case with the other post, but I do know there are always 3 sides to a story. There is his, theirs, and the truth

Secondly, I don't give two shits about anyone's experience with a company but mine, and my experience with Kiesel has been above and beyond my expectations. until that changes I will remain a fan of their product. It is unfortunate about the other post's issues, but those are his issues and only him and the company know what truly went on. like I said, my experiences have been great and that's why I continue to do business with them. If and when that changes I will then look to other alternatives, but at this particular moment I am happy with the product and service I receive.

Right, your timing is impeccable....after a thread on Kiesel's dogshit QC, you roll in, butt-hurt, because you own these balsa wood logs, with your thrilling visit to their chop-shop. Shove your Kiesels up your ass.

you can go suck a dick fag. luckily this is the internet cuz I guarantee you wouldn't say that to my face. I have maintained my thoughts about kiesel since before that thread got started. you sir can kiss my ass !

you are definitely right about that. I miss the old days, back when people were civil and professional. I learned a lot here back in the day, but have since quit coming to the site so much because it is full of arrogant shit head internet warriors. I use the classifieds here to buy and sell stuff, but that's it.

I'll stick with my Tylers and Fenders. My vision of tone is not a guitar shipped with such slop work after a 3 month wait w/ shit QC and Customer Service to boot.

Even Tyler, with impeccable credentials, has had to field an online broadside.
That's no reflection on the Kiesel affair, which without other cases, I put down to an anomaly.

That aside, your approach and language are not welcome here
Just because your name is cak, doesn't mean you have to spout it

Kiesel had one of the stand-out booths at NAMM this year
I like what they are up to

That's because they used parts for NAMM instead of finishing paying customers guitars. :D

Weird contrast but interesting
Lots of guitar choices out there!
not sure what you mean?
I will chronicle the 5 guitar story to maybe shed a little more light on what I meant.
1. DC7x, when it was first released. The guitar played pretty well but had some shoddy fret dressing. It also sounded pretty bad, really dull. It was also very very heavy. Overall it was ok, I didn't really like it so I sold it.
2. Vader V7 quilt that I custom ordered. The guitar showed up and looked awesome I was very excited, but right out of the box it had nicks in the zero fret that affect bends on the higher strings. I called them up to share that I was having problems with pinging and rough bends and I was told by the tech there that it was normal and they couldn't do anything about it, basically "sorry bud" he didn't seem to give any shits at all. So I decided to return it, when I did the salesman who helped me made it seem like it was a personal problem of mine and that it wasn't noticeable because people don't normally bend a lot on the frets where it was most prevalent or some BS. Whatever, kind of seemed weird but it was fine I got my money back, it sounded like twangy bright white anyways.
3. SC7b I ordered. Showed up and looked awesome again, but immediately I noticed the bridge saddles on the hips hot were ridiculously high, they actually scratched my hand up while playing. I also immediately noticed a lifeless tonality that I didn't like. So I called them up again and let them know about the saddle heighth. They seemed to think it wasn't a big deal and if it was bugging me I could grind the sharp edge down a little so it didn't scratch me. At this point I was kind of let down, my KM7 set up and plays without scratching my hand up and that guitar is much less expensive. So I decided to return it since my options were either have their "tech" set it up or grind metal on a brand new $1800 guitar. got my money back. while I was there I bought a showroom...
4. Vader 7 in flat orange. They had added a nut to the new models (guess the zero fret was a problem after all) so I decided to give this one another shot. It played pretty well, I couldn't make a tone determination in the showroom because all the amps there aren't really my thing. I took it home, it sounded like a worse version of my original Vader: twangy, bright, lifeless and overall one of the worst sounding guitars of my life. I kept it for a while and tried it with different amps and did everything except swap the pickups because the twangy tone was there even unplugged. Again I felt both my schecters (the aforementioned KM7 and the original Loomis c7 OFR) were better in every way. I sold this one on Facebook since I owned it for a while.
5. AM7 I got in the showroom. It was a guitar Jeff had built for himself supposedly that they agreed to sell me because I had asked about AM7s and this one looked really cool. I also overheard Jeff talking to another customer about how his guitars were better than mayones and how they and ibanez were copying kiesel guitars. He sounded like such a cock. anyways back to the guitar. It played ok, I didn't test it that extensively because they were closing soon. The salesman mentioned it might not be returnable and he had to ask Jeff, he kind of said yeah its not returnable but it wasn't conveyed that we'll because he left the regular return stuff on my receipt and there was no option 50, it was all standard options. I took it to rehearsal and noticed the saddle heighth yet again was quite high. It had some rattling at the bridge that I'm sure I could have remedied, but it fretted out all over the place on the top 3 strings up past the 12th fret. I was so annoyed, I called them up and wanted to return it and be done with kiesel because I had yet to have a great experience with the guitars. He said no refund. I said it's not on my receipt and there are no special options on the guitar. He said Jeff said no when he had asked him a few days before when I bought it, but we can have our tech talk to you. at this point he was getting pretty short with me and I was getting a little pissed, I asked him to explain to me why every guitar I had gotten from them was inferior to a couple schecters made in Korea and half the cost and that I wanted to return it and be done with them. He said no way, I'll send you a box and a return label and you can have it set up by the "tech" and he will determine if anything is wrong with it. The tech who blew off my setup complaints twice before and overall seemed to not give half a shit about it. Sigh. So I waited, no box, no return label, no follow up by them. I tried to call once and the tech and salesman I deat with weren't in and I left a message. No return call. I said fuck these assholes, I set it up myself and sold it to a kiesel head who was also all arrogant about it and didn't seem to believe that the saddles and fret outs were a guitar issue, but fuck it he gave me a good price and got this piece of shit off my hands.
In closing and why I tried several times, I love the idea of kiesel guitars. I play 7s and their options are awesome, I like a lof of the shapes and the idea that you are getting a USA guitar pretty much spec'd for you is very tempting. All the guitars I got did look awesome, I really just wish they would have had awesome tone and playability. As for the company, I just don't like the vibe you get when you have issues and the arrogance that is displayed is pretty strong. Their "tech" sucks. As you can see my story is not really a horror, more of a buildup of shitty attitudes ands shitty guitars. I will never poop in your threads again, I'm glad for all who are enjoying theirs.

Kiesels are budget semi-custom guitars. I have had a couple nice Carvins and a Kiesel,my favorite of the 3 was my first swamp ash walnut topped dc7 Carvin. The Kiesel was the coolest looking but didnt sound or play as good as the others. Eventually all got sold off and I realized if I'm gonna pay for a custom guitar its gotta be more about sound and feel than flashy looks. I wont be buying another after reading the response that they have given to some of these customers with issues.

Buying a guitar shouldn't be a crapshoot. Enough reports of QC issues that you would need your head examined to buy from them. Kiesel obviously don't have their shit together. I was actually looking at the Greg Howe model but no way would I take a chance.

This x 100

Not all publicity is good.

I realized they were shit back in 1987. Super thick paint jobs and kinda dead sounding. I lived in Hollywood and had a chance to play on several but never found one that I gelled with. If even half of these customer service stories are true I'm really glad I never sunk any cash into one.
