Nice pics

Kiesel had one of the stand-out booths at NAMM this year
I like what they are up to

That's because they used parts for NAMM instead of finishing paying customers guitars. :D

:checkthisout:

Trolls usually have low post counts, no different here.

Kiesel builts some awesome guitars, damn.

dude that's awesome ! that bass looks badass. After seeing the white CS guitar, that may have to be my next purchase from them. I have another CT3 with a Floyd being built right now, but may start looking at the single cut guitars for when that one gets here.

This is the latest one I have gotten:

The KSR Ares was a great match for the Kiesels. Can you talk about that a bit? It was my first time playing through one & really surprised at the amount of mids (in a good way). Very smooth on the highs, very polished sounding. Matches well with the Kiesel Lithium pickups which are tight and fast attack.

Otherwise known as the Rig Talk Trifecta.

Couldn't resist...

The Kiesel lithium pickups are by far my favorite pickup out right now, and when matched with my KSR Gemini it is pure heaven. I am still tweaking my settings and getting the amp ready to go, but it is going to be my main amp in my rig for gigging purposes very soon. the pair matched together has a very nice big but tight bottom end, and the highs are smooth and full sounding to my ears. I do boost the amp with a MXR classic overdrive set up as a clean boost for a bit of added saturation since the amp is a tad dry, but in my CT3 which is all mahogany the Lithiums through a KSR amp is heaven sent to my ears. everyone has a different tone in their head, but the tone in mine is matched when I play these two. you hit the nail on the head though with the mention of the smooth highs and refined sound because that's exactly what I hear. the mids though on the KSR are incredible, and the amp is just overall very refined sounding.

didnt they just screw somebody over around here??

not sure id use that exact phrase. from what I read about it the customer service could have definitely been better, but the customer was allowed to return the guitar for a full refund.

shitty experience for the customer, but I wouldn't say they screwed him over.

Let me break it down for you, because you are obviously a bit slow. Here is the part you should be focused on:

No doubt that is a great chain! All the variables seem to be in alignment. I may need to figure how to procure funds for a KSR in my arsenal. Maybe I'll go do some midnight Ubering

Buying a guitar shouldn't be a crapshoot.

Does the name "Gibson" ring a bell?

It does ring a bell. And you can go to any GC in the country and try a bunch. It's a big difference from paying for something, having to wait a few months to even try it out, then shipping it back if it doesn't work out.

Why does every thread about Kiesel guitars have to turn into these rants . Some people love them , some don't .If you search hard enough you can find sub standard customer service with just about anybody . I have 3 Carvins and love them .

Well it did come right after a heated thread. What's funny is the OP in the other thread isn't half as angry as some posters who may not have ever played a Kiesel

The bass prototype is about 1700 to build with similar specs. I looked at Agile/Rondo hoping to find a cheap alternative for multi scale bass but no go. If there's a nonKiesel option out there let me know....but I'm likely to build this Bass. It is haunting me

I don't think anyone is angry. Just reacting to one post Kiesel showing up with arrogant fighting words. lol

Anyhow...I'm a bass player too. Although I don't own one, I highly recommend trying a Dingwall bass if you are in to the fanned fret thing. I have had the chance to try them a few times. Tone for days and they are so easy to play. Buy used and you can probably resell for the same price.

Can you try a bunch of custom order Gibbys? Nope.

I see you have a Custom Shop Jackson, speaking of horror stories... Nothing like a 2-3 year wait on a custom axe you never get to try, only to have it show up with 23 frets when it was ordered 24... I imagine you heard that story?

Moral of the story - you always roll the dice with a custom order.
