i love his tone in this , im sure this has probably been seen by many .
does anyone know which randall amp he is using ,the slo is self explanatory
and viv showing the anderson love , just look past the constant hair touching
the BBE makes me miss mine, when i use to run it with my ADA mp1

It's a Randall rack mount 100 watt tube amp...I forget the model name. Uses it for rhythm only I think...been a long time since I watched that. I bought the same LOFT 450 stereo chorus he has because of this video.

Along with the hair touching you gotta love the text graphic overlays. "HOT GUITARIST"…classic

Good lord. Total overkill for a completely processed tone in my opinion. Everything in that video sounds like the first version POD. IMO, of course! :D

FWIW, I absolutely LOVED his tone in River Dogs (which is the era this video is from) so maybe it is just this vid that has the weird over effected tone… :dunno:

I actually had this Hot Guitarist VHS tape at one point no idea if i still do, It also had Nuno on it and a few others i can't recall right now.

what im digging is , the not so processed randal tone minus the reverb, i like the tight focusness of that

I think the randall is a rgt100? Basically a tube version of the rg100es. Had one in the 90's and it was killer. I had a few rg100's over the years. The tube ones are fairly hard to find from what i remember..

The guitar is cool. Have to agree with Jason, the River Dogs was a killer band.

That rack mounted SLO was the first "Overdrive only" amp that Mike made....custom made for Viv.
