The Wah thread...... come share your fave wahs and settings if there are knobs and bells and whistles on it.

Here is my current fave...... DimeBag Crybaby From Hell. Just spent all night playing it and dialing it only to go back to the same settings I've had. I use this for all the 6 different settings and it works out great for a vintage tone with a modern touch.

What's your fave wah?

Thing has so much Q I don't need much but only 5% of what it has and a little bit of Boost if any and a suble turn of the Fine Tune knob and that's it.

I'm very picky about wah. I can find something wrong with most of them.

I can't find anything wrong with this one. If I nitpick I can find one flaw... it's for bass. I Don't let this stop me.

Justin Chancellor Crybaby. Got mine used at GC with a little help of a Christmas gift card from my Wonderful Wife.

Before this I usually just use an cocked wah. I really like the EHX Cock Fight for this.

I have a Boss PW-10 that's pretty great.

I've tried, im sure, every wah in existence and I'm pretty sure this is the best for my particular use-case - especially live

I can set up my Kemper wah to sound similar which works fine, but this thing is the standard bearer

I like the bad horsie…. I ditched my mc404 for a 95q…. I prefer switchless and I rarely use it so I’m not really a wah snob….

Friend of mine gave me one of those a couple years ago and I've still never even plugged it in once lmao

I should probably do that

My Guyatone Stevie Salas Wah Rocker has never left my board since I got it

As far as traditional wahs I've been through a few and settled on the 535Q - nothing particularly special about them but it just works well for everything

I don't like wahs. I only have the Crybaby Mini on my mini board just because.

I recently picked up this Jen Double Sound fuzz/wah from the 70’s, it’s pretty awesome. John Wetton used one of these in his King Crimson days, I originally intended to use it on bass like he did but I also tried it with guitar and it’s probably the best sounding wah I’ve had. The fuzz sounds killer as well, although there’s no way to control it other than rolling off your instrument volume.

Buying the Double Sound reminded me about this old Vox wah that I forgot I had. It’s been in my closet for probably 25 years, it was my uncle’s back in the 70’s and it appeared he stopped using it because the switch broke. I replaced the switch but it looks like the pot is testing bad so I’m waiting for a replacement to arrive. Looking forward to getting it up and running since all these years I've had it I never realized that it is an original ‘67-‘68 Clyde McCoy wah 🤦‍♂️.

I've had like 10? Over the years. Jam Wahcko ended my search, and still have an old Thomas Organ Crybaby that sounds fantastic.

I only have a Dunlop Cry Baby. I don't like wah, I suck at using it and have no idea how to make it sound cool like the dudes on the internet or stages. Plug, it needs some cleaning/light repair as it has an awful squeal or something to it when I use it. I forgot the exact issue, but I just don't use it.

I bought a bunch of wah pedals last year.

My favorite is still the 535q.

I've had just about everything and I will say the original Bad Horsie is my favorite just because of the switchless & simplicity but the Exotic XW-1 is the best sounding and most versatile I've ever used.

Have had this Wah thing for like 30 years and recently my holy ❤️ -U-Tron signature pedal courtesy of the lovely and amazing @griff10672 which I've been spending 50 hours a day for the last week with. 😵 Everything from traditional funk to some crazy wonderful midi like laser grind. Literally makes me feel like a kid again. Clips in the clip section.

I think Wayne should make a wah. Who’s with me? And it should include the $25 mesa $.10 part…. Call it the tariff rape wah 😩….
I mean this but to be fair looking at Dunlops Yellow/Red fasel they cost around the same after market so maybe those Mesa ones aren't so bad. Doesn't have to be the Mesa one and may as well use a Red or Yellow or both with a switch for both options........ But yeah that would be dope, would be on my wishlist ^_^
