I re-organized these amps today. They look pretty killer in the $35 IKEA bookcases. This is the way to go for amp storage. I have black ones too on the opposite wall with all my non-Marshall amps.

Updated arrangement thanks to 311splawndude:

Yessir, they are Billy cases. I've had all kinds of amps in them. Some very deep amps, like a vh4, will hit on the back. But it can be removed if needed.

None of us are probably sane, but at least we know we aren't alone!

Hmmmm… that ain’t half bad. I wonder if my biggest amps like the EVH EL34 100 and my Herbert would fit in those…. I’m gonna guess no on the EVH, but maybe.

I’ll be damned, looks like it would fit my EVH, these bookshelves are 31 inches… well damn, these are perfect. They aren’t too tall to screw up my monitoring position and can still be decently close to my desk, nice!

I think whoever designed these for Ikea must've played guitar. They are just right size.

I just measured mine. It's 30" exactly for the opening width. 31" includes the sides. That should fit just about every amp out there. The EVH is exactly 30" so it maybe tight.

That is disgustingly awesome ?.

Problems. None here. Actually to make it complete I think two cabinets on the sides and three on top. That way you dispense with the decorations on top. ?‍♂️

Thanks for measuring brotha, I think it might work!

Is there any cut outs on the back? I’d like to cut a hole in them, use a hole saw or something, for access to power cables, speaker cables etc, and run cables to an amp switcher, and the amp switcher out to my cabs in an isolated shed outside my house , that’s the plan. Could work great.

They don’t come with cutouts but the rear panel is very easy to make holes in. A hole saw would go through it very quick.

I had my other amps setup like you’re describing. I had all the power cords and speaker cables running out through holes in the back panel. I even cut good sized squares in the back of those so they had better ventilation while turned on. The hole is totally covered with the amp in place.

The white bookcases are $39 but the black ones are a lot more for some reason. I think $69. Still cheap though. They assemble really fast too.

If you put that one JCM (in column A2) in the center (column B2) it will look more balanced. Just trying to help :D

Man, you’re a genius. Seriously. Why didn’t I think of that? I’m going to do that ASAP…
