Guys...
How can this nut change the attack of FRETTED notes???
The nut really has NO SIGNIFICANCE at all once a string is fretted, right?
Open strings could be ... but barr chords up the neck??!!
Am I missing something here?

Just like any nut, the height will be the only really factor as far as I know. If it is too high your chords will be out of tune, and it will be even worse if it's a floating trem.

   Right... But the "density" or material used in the nut gets cancelled out as soon as you fret a note? No?
This video shows LOUDER and clearer chords played up the neck...???

Maybe..... Seems to me if you change anything it effects the sound. But what your saying makes sense Keith.

Think so?

I mean. I personally am not smart enough to see/hear a difference here. Maybe on the open strings???? But if you fret a note..then WHAT the hell is the nut even doing??

It's a coupling, I do agree though to a certain extent, you're talking about minute changes that may or may not have a tonal effect on a guitar that is being sent through a ton more variables that have way more to do with tone than a different type of metal used for a nut.

Now, if we're talking plastic vs. bone vs. metal, etc. you will have a dampening or rounder overall string tone, but metal vs. another metal?

… And, the only effect it would have is with open strings… Not fretted notes and barr chords…

I agree. I can't hear a difference at all. Also, regarding his comparison to steel - brass, any form will be softer than steel and the strings will probably wear a groove over time.

EDIT: Wow, also $259.00 !!! I own an engineering and manufacturing company and could produce these for a profit at $100.00 or less...

It's almost like he's saying naval brass doesn't have the same properties as regular soft brass...except that it magically sounds like soft brass.

I wish more guitars had zero-frets.

Once a string is fretted, the nut is out of the equation as far as tone goes. Here's what I heard in that video... before he changed the nut I heard an angry swarm of bees. After he changed the nut... also a can of bees. Slight changes are not going to be perceived after you through a ton of gain on a guitar.

All snake oil for me....The Blades amp is where it is at!!        Most of the FU-Tone stuff is snake oil IMO.

Doing good Keith. Hope the same for you. I can't imagine this making much or any difference. It might make small changes to the resonant properties of the guitar. But it is so small I don't think anyone would hear it.
