Unfortunately most apologize , very very very few are secure and confident enough in themselves to stand firm . When you apologize you lose, period.

I only realized after watching it that it stirred controversy. Yeah, it was slightly in poor taste, but they provided a lot of facts and educated assumptions. Simply put, decades of drinking and smoking (they said he started both around age 12) is what ultimately caused his cancer. Then Covid lockdowns prevented him from getting life extending cancer treatment in Germany.

Being a big fan of EVH, it was sad to see the realities, but I’m sure Eddie wouldn’t have changed a thing. After watching the show, it doesn’t change my thoughts or opinions about him. He is still one of the best musicians that ever lived.

Fuck cancer is right. Thanks for the review. Not sure I really want to watch it. I saw it announced. I've seen this Autopsy show before and it is a bit morbid. They go into different scenarios of what may have caused the death even though they already know the reason. I 'met' one of the contributors/producers on FB Group Exclusively Van Halen and no one was real interested. I guess I'll still watch it if it pops up.

And part of the reason EVH (and his brother I suppose) drank and smoked from a young age is because Jan told them to as a way to deal with stage fright. Edward in particular was very shy and had to have alcohol to make it through a performance. So no surprise I guess.
