I’m the furthest thing from a LB fan, but they tore shit up on that Lolla vid, and I really dug it. Killer, rude guitar tone, and Durst was cracking me the fuck up in that old Dad get up. :hys:

Say what you want, but they had that crowd going. Many of whom are probably not much older than when they released their first album.

My nephew was there (he is not older than their first album) and he said "uncle Jeff, there was some old guy band there" LOL! Then we figured out who it was =D.

Wes Uses the Original 5153. He has 2 of them in a rack behind his cabs. Jackson King V & SD Invader. That's about it in terms of his High gain tone. Now his effects are another story. The Guy has a Pedal board that is massive!

if i had a few drinks in me id probably be bouncing around kangaroo kicking young jerks, might not even need drinks actually

I know Wes plays a seven string as well. What's he tuning this 6 string to? Is it B C or D standard or drop B?

Wes is an incredible player and performer, and his ear for killer tone is next level. Love the dude's style and whack stagecraft.

As for:
Rap - NO!
Lest we forget some of the most kickass bands incorporate rap into their singing/lyrical compositions - and a lot of 'em have amazing artists/amazing guitar tone (RATM, Deftones, etc).

I'm 100% down for rap - 2Pac being a legend - but as for incorporating it into the heavies, so long as it's done well, I'm down with it 100%

its all about the he said she said bullllshit!!! i think you better quit it, or youll be living with a fat lip!!!! ?

Wes has always had good tone. even when he used boogies his tone was good. it's better now though.

When I worked MI retail back in the late 90s, we used to put on the Ibanez 7th Heaven vhs tape and wonder at Petrucci and laugh at Borland and the guys from Korn.

Now that time has passed, I absolutely respect Borland. In fact, I think he is phenomenal. Nobody plays like him and his tone is crushing. Fred can be debated, but the musicality of the band is solid.

Go listen to Boiler or Take A Look Around. I am not scared to say I dig it and I’m as 80s as all of you.

I would also argue that if your judgment of the band comes solely from the lyrics or vocal, you are not a true guitar player, because guitar players don’t hear the words. ?

Limp B and killer tone just doesnt equate with me
You strike me as a Metal Head who only likes the bands he likes & that's it. which usually means you listen to 5-7 bands and that's all.
