Looking through my current edition of Sweetwater and stumbled across Fender. Yeah what a surprise. So they're advertising the Eric Clapton Stratocaster for a ridiculous $1600 (for a plank of wood). First of all Clapton never did anything worth mentioning since his departure from Cream where the infinitely talented Ginger Baker made Eric famous.

So I'm thinking to myself, "self" WTF, they're putting this mediocre guitar player (at best) on a pedestal as if he's somehow revolutionary when they won't even give the greatest electric guitarist of modern history even a blink of the eye - Jimi Hendrix.

Listen if you dare.

I am not a Clapton fan but saying he never did anything worth mentioning and saying he's a mediocre guitarist.... wow. I will take Hendrix over Clapton but not to the extent of nonsense like that.
