What amp load boxes are you using for direct recordings?

I compared the Suhr and React IR to like 10 different cab loads all using the same IR here:

I would say though, with each load you'd probably dial the amp in a bit different and shoot for slightly different tones. There is no "most accurate" response, because all cabs have their own curve and response too.

The thing I’ll add about the st rock is creating your own irs… it sounds pretty much indistinguishable when you go about it that way. Very cool feature.

The UAD and torpedo impedance curves just do not sound natural and sound synthetic.

I got a Two Notes Torpedo Live myself, which has all the futures I want (including being able to load IRs and work without a PC), so when the Captor X came out, I thought 'wow, that would've been a better choice if it came out earlier', but now that I saw Mendel's video, I found the Captor X a bit lacklustre, because of the sound that's too lean and middy.
The Suhr I found too strident in the highs. Red Seven and Two Notes Reload were the best IMO, the Driftwood, nice, but a tad dark (and functionality wise, not for me).

Just watched this yesterday.. don't feel so bad about my Reload now. I knew it sounded different than the Captor no matter what they say. Was going to go Suhr but I do hear how it is hyped and scooped and it isn't heaps better than the Torpedo Reload I have. It is however, much better than the Captor. I also place a torpedo CAB pedal between amp and load so I am taking the through from the amp vs the power amp off the load. Still has an impact but less.

Ultimately, I still think a real mic'd cab is best!

While he does a nice job of comparing sound samples, I still came away thinking there are other variables that can (will?) influence the outcome of those sound files. Different IRs, first and foremost.

Running 2 CaptorX 16ohm units for stereo/dual-amps. They sound fkn incredible.
