What amp(s) have you bought/sold numerous times?

The Peavey 5150: I had a modded sig that I flipped, a mint block letter that I flipped, and now a modded block letter. I'm keeping this one.

The EVH 5150 III: I had a 100 watter, and a 50 watter. I just couldn't jive with them.

Mesa Dual Rectifier: I had a Tremoverb and a Rev G. I miss them both.

I flipped a lot of Marshall cabs too. I always modded them and flipped them.

What mod do you have on the 5150?

I had a choke installed, bias mod (of course) and had it recapped because it needed it. I never cared for any of the other mods. The choke and bias mod are all it needs.

...oh, and it had orange tolex when I got it.

I sold my Matchless DC-30 over 10 years ago. I have been considering getting another one, but I have a feeling it just wouldn't come close to the magic of my old one.

May not measure up to what you remember you old one was, but I've played all manner of new and old Matchlii and they're remarkably consistent over the years if you put in the same tubes. Old ones shipped with NOS GE's so those do make a difference.

Engl Savage 60 and Marshall LEAD 100 Mosfet, both twice.
and the Savage ain't goin' nowhere anymore.

All the other amps I've sold, I've been sure about, and they're not coming back.

Jmp-1, I tried twice it just didn’t sound right in my rigs.
Metaltronix M1000, I had two, very loud amps, not a lot of gain, the second master made the amp sound like puke. In my profile picture you can see me playing through one, well it was a Friedman modded jcm 800 stuffed in the Metaltronix box.

Mesa Mark IV twice, AxeFX II twice and Brunnetti 059 twice. Have none of these now. It’s going to happen with an Engl Special Edition too but, I’m going to keep the next one I get.
