What are my options for a two amp AB pedal?

Requirements:

It must be buffered
- I have a couple of cheap ones that aren't buffered. There is a severe volume and gain loss without buffering since you are essentially splitting the output in half.

Must have options for A or B or BOTH - I have a Lehle 1 at 3, and it's almost exactly what I need, but it doesn't allow me to run two outputs simultaneously.

Must have isolated outputs - Galvanically isolated outputs prevent hum.

Must have polarity switch - To ensure that both amps are in-phase.

I would just go ahead and get the Lehle Dual or Little Dual II, but they are both horrendously expensive. They're probably worth the money because they are built like tanks, but I'm wondering if there is a cheaper option.

Anyone have any experience with the Radial Twin City? It looks like it might meet all my requirements.

Lehle dual sgos, radial twin cities, I think there is a framptone one and a fulltone one as well.

Radial shotgun would be good option if you just want all on all the time... Could use volume pedals to each amp to cut them...

Lehle SGOS is the best, and highest quality

A radial shotgun or twin city would be a nice lower cost option, but if i was going to use it for gigging or something like that i'd spring for the Lehle dual sgos

Yeah, pretty much what I thought. Thanks guys. I think it's kinda crazy that there aren't more options for this. There are plenty of AB and ABY switchers, but only the two mentioned are actually any good (that I've found anyway). Without isolated outputs, they are pretty much useless. In fact, without any of the features I mentioned, they are useless.

I don’t think it does what you want, but I just committed to the humdinger 2 from gigrig.

I don’t have it yet, but I have a tracking number, and I’m pretty sure it’s more the 2 Amp at the same time all the time.

I've been following this as I want to get something other than my MXR ABY. I mean it does the job, including two amps at once with no phase issues I can here, but it doesn't have some of the other features of the Lehle. They are around $250 used :dunno:

Did you see the one Ola was using in that Dime stereo amp video? It was actually a tuner that had OD and ABY features. I need to figure out what that was and look into it. Maybe overkill, but if it does everything well - it could save space on the 'ol pedalboard. :dunno:

If anyone’s interestedin the gigrig humdinger. I’ll shoot an update sometime next couple weeks.

Yes, no buttons. It's a permanent split.

I went with the Lehle little dual. It‘s actually not buffered, as a buffers tend to change the sound.

Here is what Lehle says:
Depending on the lengths of your guitar cables, you could hear some loss of highs with the ABY as you are basically adding cable length when feeding a second amp. One way to tackle this is using a Lehle Sunday Driver

It's kind of odd how there aren't many companies who specialize in manufacturing these sorts of things. As in, specifically solutions for stage cabling, etc.

I was shocked to realize how hard it is to find guitar-specific snakes without getting them custom made for me at an exorbitant cost. I need something like a 3 TS 3 TRS or 3 TS 2TRS for my rig and it's ridiculous.

Lehle is one of the only companies who provides solutions for this kind of thing in any way, and it's surprising there aren't more out there.

Regarding cabling, Pepers posted something a while back that he's got in the works using a single cable that could be cool for setups maybe not quite so complex as you have.

This would be absolutely killer, unfortunately with my ENGL im gonna need multiple TRS for my footswitches to go with the standard fx loop setup -

I love pepers pedals btw, he makes killer stuff

I had a Radial Twin City that worked well for me, only got rid of it because I moved to a rack switcher (aka bought more than 2 amps).

DeLisle has an ABY and ABC pedal that meet your requirements. Can't speak on these particular pedals since I don't own one, but his amp/cab switchers are top notch.

Both have a phase switch, transformer isolated & buffered outputs. The ABY can run both outputs at the same time. The ABC can select 3 amps in any combo.

Thanks, this appears to check all the boxes, and is the least expensive option I've found so far.

Fulltone aby is the best I've used and I've been running stereo rigs for years.

Here's my list of options so far:

Lehle Dual SGOS (apparently the Little Dual is passive) - Made In Germany - $470
Radial Twin City - Made in Canada - $260
