What are the most underrated rock and metal records that are not often mentioned or discussed...But definitely SHOULD be?

Thinking old ones, not new bands. Some that I love ands still listen to:

Leatherwolf - Street Lethal
Zebra - Zebra
Fastway - Sound track to Trick or Treat
Killer Dwarfs - Stand Tall
Hurricane - Take What You Want
TNT - Knights of the New Thunder
Loudness - Beast from the East
Lillian Axe - Lillian Axe
April Wine - Nature of the Beast

There are others, more power metal from the late 90's through 2010, but just sticking to 80's classics for me here.

I'm not sure Angel Dust is underrated. It had massive success in its day. I saw Faith No More in a stadium when it came out. Arguably, they were not the opening band but they still played in front of 80,000 people. It's more that it's 35 years old so it's not the topic of the day.

Noone ever talks (at least around here) about Car bomb - Meta or Volumes - Via... Those are awesome metal albums from more recent times.

I'd like to throw in:

At The Gates - Slaughter of the Soul

Doesn't seem to get the credit it deserves for helping shape the genre.

Angel Dust was considered a disappointment by many when it was released, They were expecting another "the real thing" from them I guess? Something less experimental sounding.

I was in the military and saw them open for Helmet in a small club called The Boathouse. I was right in front of Jim Martin and bass amp was to the right of the stage. I think I lost a lot of my hearing at that show, lol. Was amazing!

My biggest regret is never seeing ATG live. It feels like they only JUST reunited and I looked it up, it was 2014. Now Tomas is gone. :( I'm making every effort to see all the bands I took for granted.

Lamb Of God - as the palaces burn
Faith No More - angel dust
Crowbar - broken glass

I don't see many people talking about Angel Dust and how massively underrated it is. It gets a lot of spins from me.

you guys know about this one ???

I know Corrosion of Conformity is well liked on here, but man, they didnt really go anywhere and I don’t quite get it. Could be just the raw production that turns people off. 🤷‍♂️
Love peak COC!
