What did Scottosan buy at the Japanese 2nd hand store today - Episode 467

It's also the day the Japan attacked Scottosans pocketbook again........:poke::eek:

Your wife may have an intervention for you soon Scottosan.........................:p:LOL:

Congrats that's a nice looking strat.
Honestly, it’s been a non-issue. We have zero debt, both make good money and our housing and utilities are paid for

How's that small radius feel?
There’s apparently to specs for these. I sent an email to fender for clarification, but there’s another spec with a 5 way switch figured maple and 9.5 radius. The spec I posted was for the one with a plain neck.

Congrats, looks great!
I love those early CS Fender; the 90's era and early 2000's that followed just after put out really nice guitars. Usually great wood, nice finishes, nice "player" specs like flatter radius...
Best non-vintage strat I've ever played was a similar late 90's Cunetto CS Fiesta Red strat; same for the Tele BTW, had a fantastic 2000 with same great looking birdseye neck.

Yours is a NOS? Parts are marked "Relic" in the cavities, late Cunetto batch leftover maybe with that late '99 dating?

Great catch! Congrats!

Ironically, Dec 7 is also the day the Japanese attacked Pearl Harbor. Lol

You caught that too.

Bought an American guitar in Japan stamped Dec 7th. We've come quite a ways.

Nickname for the guitar could be Pearl

Fender got back with me. Apparently the Time Machine line was when the custom shop really offered accurate reissues. Similar to what Gibson did in the 90s. So, the neck is stamped 99 but it’s a 2000 by the time is mad it out the door. It’s almost a first year built by arguably Fenders most renowned builder
