What do you guys think of this album cover?

Seems a little Ayreon-ish to me, but I know your music is nothing like that from what I can imagine.

I've been an artist for years. How can u put " so n so music fits this" it is an interpretation of the artist and his mind set. I agree lose the fence n make the font more legible. But the art is excellent. It leaves the buyer to imagine what it stands for. It really is much cooler than a lot of cheesy covers "pro" bands are spewing out. Like there was no thought in most of them.
Anyway good job goes with what makes u happy n leave it for the listener to decide what it stands for. To me looking at it reminds me of escaping reality n going somewhere cool !

Thanks for all the feedback guys!

Thanks! I hope that most people will have an open mind about it as you do. I love the picture and the atmosphere it creates. Hopefully if the music doesn't exactly match people's expectations, it will still be appreciated for what it is. Glad you dig it!

I think Dream Theater comes to mind. I like the planets also , not sure if i love the fields and fences.
It's almost too busy and it kinda takes away from the cool stuff like the space cause you eye is looking everywhere.

Kinda like having a web page with 15 different fonts can be distracting .
I like the look but agree that simpler may be more effective for that type of thing
Guys talented no doubt though

Thanks for the feedback. The fence with the band logo came late on, after I decided to make it the cover. At first it looked like this when it was going to be the inside cd cover background:

Had a cool concept about a clock coming out of a dude's head for the title "Mind Alarm". Maybe I should go back to that idea and put this on the inside cover?

I like it. Musically, I would think it represents atmospheric metal with cool sounding/evolving pads and drones.
I wish that was the case. This is much more mainstream hard rock. Not very ambient, which is a bummer because that's really my style. I have fun with this band though. Thanks guys!
I love it. I would use this one, without the fence, for the cover and lay the band name down just beyond the foreground grass on the rows of the field, using the same angle. Not sure if the band name would look good in white if you did it that way, but you probably wouldn't see it very well if it was black/dark.

I think it's badass. I'm probably in the minority here, but I'd change the purple nebula part to something less psychedelic to something that blends in more. I think it would look more natural/believable giving it more of a haunting feeling.

As far as style... tough one, if I saw it I'd guess anything from maiden to floyd.

Way better. And why not have the logo spread apart on the horizon with traditional spelling...

I'd have to say, it's pretty...Alarming!

Seriously, though, I thought is looked pretty cool!

i agree with this. I see this and im thinking Monuments, or Periphery. Honestly not a big fan of the band font though

I get a European prog metal vibe from it.

I think it would be cool to take the two concepts and use them separately. The planets look cool, The field looks cool, they just look a little busy together.

Keep the fence w/name (but add dirt and age to it), de-clutter the sky while keeping the same mood and general idea, and I think it'll fit nicely.

To me the bigger planet behind the smaller is too much. Overall I like it. :)

I dig the Sci-fi vibe..I'm a Carl Sagan and Stephen Hawking fan in the world of astrophysics. It's what relates to you and the music that matters most.

Too much going on in the sky, UNLESS everything has a specific meaning...then I could accept it a bit more. Looks "artsy" for sake of being artsy to me without knowing a bit more about what's behind it. Unlike others, I actually like the fence with the band name.
As for implications of style, it totally says "prog" and "our live show is a sausage fest".

Overall I like it, but similar to others I think it looks a little busy with the fence and the larger planet. I'd probably get rid of the fence and do the logo either in the field or as light projecting from the sun and call it good. Makes me think of prog metal.

It's fine but the original would just slay, I'm just saying'.....

Maybe put the stars behind

It is cool, but it does not leave anything memorable.

It is not a 'signature' image like the 2112 cover, Iron Maiden covers, Journey's Scarab, etc.

If you could find a signature icon, then it would be a slam dunk.

If you end up using this picture for the cover, try to incorporate your band name very subtly - like barely decipherable in the foreground grassy area more blending in.
