Seems a little Ayreon-ish to me, but I know your music is nothing like that from what I can imagine.
Thanks! I hope that most people will have an open mind about it as you do. I love the picture and the atmosphere it creates. Hopefully if the music doesn't exactly match people's expectations, it will still be appreciated for what it is. Glad you dig it!cujo":13gnm8x3 said:I've been an artist for years. How can u put " so n so music fits this" it is an interpretation of the artist and his mind set. I agree lose the fence n make the font more legible. But the art is excellent. It leaves the buyer to imagine what it stands for. It really is much cooler than a lot of cheesy covers "pro" bands are spewing out. Like there was no thought in most of them.
Anyway good job goes with what makes u happy n leave it for the listener to decide what it stands for. To me looking at it reminds me of escaping reality n going somewhere cool !
I love it. I would use this one, without the fence, for the cover and lay the band name down just beyond the foreground grass on the rows of the field, using the same angle. Not sure if the band name would look good in white if you did it that way, but you probably wouldn't see it very well if it was black/dark.glassjaw7":2bsurjmf said:gtr31":2bsurjmf said:I think Dream Theater comes to mind. I like the planets also , not sure if i love the fields and fences.
It's almost too busy and it kinda takes away from the cool stuff like the space cause you eye is looking everywhere.
Kinda like having a web page with 15 different fonts can be distracting .
I like the look but agree that simpler may be more effective for that type of thing
Guys talented no doubt though
Thanks for the feedback. The fence with the band logo came late on, after I decided to make it the cover. At first it looked like this when it was going to be the inside cd cover background:

Had a cool concept about a clock coming out of a dude's head for the title "Mind Alarm". Maybe I should go back to that idea and put this on the inside cover?
I wish that was the case. This is much more mainstream hard rock. Not very ambient, which is a bummer because that's really my style. I have fun with this band though.IHateRap":2bsurjmf said:I like it. Musically, I would think it represents atmospheric metal with cool sounding/evolving pads and drones. Thanks guys!
i agree with this. I see this and im thinking Monuments, or Periphery. Honestly not a big fan of the band font thoughIHateRap":m6rpz5x1 said:I like it. Musically, I would think it represents atmospheric metal with cool sounding/evolving pads and drones.
