When it comes to playing guitar I am strictly a rock guy. I listen to lots of different music however. Every few months I have to break out Gary Wright's Dream Weaver. I listen to the whole album all the way through (not just the title track). My Dad used to rock this 8 track in his Porsche while living in California circa mid-70s. I know it is pretty cheesy in retrospect but I will always have room for it in my music library. Strong melodies always bring back memories.

Check out this cool live version of Love Is Alive (Steve Porcaro on keytar as well as Gary. Got to love the backups singing hitting the cowbell while rocking the Karate gear):

What is yours? :D

Oh man what I have on right now I would be destroyed if I gave it up, consider me busted

But I can offer up what I was listening to yesterday,

I dig the killer production so ya'll suck it

Spice Girls - Two Become One--I liked that BEFORE i heard PG do it
Fergie- Big Girl's Don't Cry Makes me weepy

If I go mellow usually Elton John, Meatloaf type stuff. Old Rod Stewart Linda Ronstadt too.

It has Stanley Clarke and Stewart Copeland in it, so shut up :scared: :D The video is super 80s cheese, so bad it's awesome

I like to listen to a lot of rainstorm sounds, nature sounds, ect.

The Cure
The Smiths
Blondie
Alanis Morisette (Jagged Little Pill)
Steeley Dan

Go ahead and flame away...lol

Yeah Yeah Yeah's - I really dig the tunes Zero and MAPS. That girl's got a cool voice.

oh yeah, and Kelly Clarkson - I always roll up the windows, crank the radio and start singing when I'm driving and here songs come on the radio.

No way.......................

disco...donna summer.abba,..i love the big bass...!!

thing is,..when disco was new,..and big!!...i hated it!...i had more than one black "disco sucks" t-shirts...

i think as time goes by we only rember the good things...it's like an old car,..or an old girlfriend ya had,...you reminiss about the memories and the times ya had...you forget about the fact that that car would never start in the rain..or that that ex girlfriend fucked your friend!

ya hear people all the time..especially old timers talk about how things were so much better back in the day,..when most of the time it wasnt.

i think of this everytime people have this love affair with 80"s hair bands....it was the death of a great muscial era,...substance replaced with fluff...it makes me ill...

I think the real question here is, what is it you watch while nobody is listening?

personally i like to let loose to baroque classical music like hyden, mozart, bach, beethoven, hans andre stamm you get it.

or on regular occasions put on some SRV or Gary Moore and let the whole CD play through.

im also guilty of the beach boys and jackson 5 stuff.

she's great!

I listen to orchestral and classical music, film scores, and moody electronic stuff.

I don't really care if anyone's watching   but the fact I'm a big fan of Barry Gibbs songwriting might surprise some of you.
