Curious what others use for a quick grab and go practice amp?

I mean; say the neighbor says come over lets jam and you don't want to lug your 100W and 2x12 or 4x12 just to go play for 45 minutes down the street.

I have a real cheap Vox modeling amp, but that thing sucks.

Clearly a few things come to mind: A 20-25w Friedman or Mesa Combo Amp. A Fender/Clean combo and a gain pedal...

...But what else?

And what else that might no cost 4 figure?

I have an old Traynor Guitar Mate 1x12 combo with a Celestion in it and an MXR/EVH 5150 pedal.

What about the Boss katana's? I love mine in the living room but haven't tried it outside of that. The brown sound is really good IMO.

I have a 1x12 jet city cab and I pick one of my heads . It’s not too bad to lug around . 1x12 and a head is my quickie always

I like my Tech 21, 10 watt. I plug it into a small 12" cabinet. I may throw a MXR 6-band GEQ and a BBE sonic stomp in the loop for tomorrow's practice.

Is that just: plug guitar into Duncan, Duncan into Cab and go? Is that SS or Tube driven?
I’ve got a few ‘Amp In a Box’ pedals that I put in front of the power stage. Instead of just adding overdrive or distortion, pedals like the BE OD will feed a full spectrum amp-like sound to an otherwise dry, clean power source like the Powersrage.

I use a 15 watt Egnater Tweaker head & 1x12 Egnater cab. Plenty of volume for practice.

2 4x12s, a 100w head, an 18 space rack, and a small pedalboard.
Really? That's just overkill. I've played venues that couldn't fit all that! I mean, an 18 space rack? Ditch that thing and just make your pedalboard bigger. There's no need for a rack these days.

Katana user here. Serves it’s purpose for practice.
