What ever happened to the Bogner Solo 70 Twin Jet?

It was at an ampfest a while back, kicked ALL the ass, then... crickets? What's the deal?

Reinhold isn't making big amps anymore. He's more interested in low-wattage amps that cover a lot of redundant ground and pedals these days.

So he's not going to make it? That was the only Bogner I've ever heard that I liked! It sounded sooooo good!

But, but, but..

I know. It's kind of disappointing, really. Most of their new amps have been a letdown for high-gain addicts like me.

IMHO, there only seems to be a "small" group of guys these days that dig the Twin Jet. I would think Reinhold would realize this and discontinue/revise the standard TJ and make it the SOLO 70 instead. I agree, small amps are so 2012...time to get back to basics and give the people what we want!

Idk, I think the Twin Jet is a great amp - it's tighter, more dynamic and cuts better than the old Ubers. :dunno: Reinhold has always listened to the public and made revisions accordingly. People were complaining that the Uber was too loose, too dark, etc. hence the Rev. Blue and Twin Jet. People were already modding their Ubers for KT88's so the TJ seemed liked a logical choice. The Twin Jet is definitely more of a player's amp IMO. If it's too much power you can pull two tubes.

I dont think this amp was a pure Uber though .higher mids.
Maybe he used KT77 or 6550 in it instead of the 88
The preamp reminds me a bit of The XTC 20th more open less squish

I know right? It sounds FANTASTIC! It's like they took everything I didn't like about Bogners and got rid of it.

I'm not letting this die. I want this sound dammit - whether Bogner makes it or someone else.

What exactly is the difference with the 70?

I had a twin jet, it killed. Only offed it because it was too limited for my needs at the time. I hate the bogner fx loop though.

It's not available

I think this is dead, not going to happen sadly

Preamp was different

Solo70 was bad ass.

but it wasn't completed. there was stuff Reinhold still wanted to mess with.

It was a prototype.

I'm sure it is still over at the Bogner factory. I'll ask Reinhold about it this week for an update when I see him.

Awesome MW.

Since he is not a forum guy you should mention to him that 2 years later people still want it and post videos or it saying its one of the best Bogners they have heard
LOL..

I think thats a pretty good indication to if a product will sell if brought to market

Just figured I'd exhume this thread to find out what Reinhold had to say about it.
