Chris

Super +1!!!

I wanted one since I first saw Darrells. Never thought I could afford what they costed. Eventually had 3 of them, including both a black back and a natural back USA. Wound up keeping the quilt top cross prototype because it was the best sounding and playing of all that I had tried.

that white Voyager reminds me of early Chris DeGarmo! sweet!!!

For me I remember as a kid looking at Kramers .
I was a huge VH fan and Kramers looked cool to me !!
The one I liked the most was the Voyager but rarely saw them .
Then a few years ago I found one locally and had to have it .
It is a early 82 before Floyd roses and was all stock .
I had the neck plecked and put a seymour Duncan
Warren d martini pickup in it .
To me this guitar looks so cool !!
It is not nearly as comfortable as a strat but anyway .
Here's a pic

Wanted this as a kid but couldn't afford it. I was finally able to find one and since its kind of a collectors item I paid three times what it retailed for in 1998. Easily one of the coolest guitars ever made. Totally worth it I felt like crying when I opened the case lol. Beastly ESP jh2 hetfield explorer

YES!! Would kill for one!

I've got a Ken Lawrence Explorer being built currently!
When it shows up 17 years from now, let us know what you think of it.

I think he got it a while back lol.

Growing up in the 80's, I always wanted a super-strat with a Tiger paintjob.
Just last year I stumbled across a Charvel mutt on eBay with a Tiger-burst paintjob and jumped on it.
Turns out it's one of my best sounding and playing guitars!

I had it routed for a middle single-coil and also had my Motor City Hot Heads installed in it and it's just monstrous sounding.
Sounds best with high-gain, but the addition of a single-coil in the middle has enabled me to get very usable clean tones out of it.

I saved up for a year after I found this in Martin Music in Memphis,TN. I cut grass etc etc over the summer and went back to find that it was still there.

For some reason, this thread got bumped on it's own? It shows I made that post like 2 days ago, when I made it back when the thread was new in 2014. Weird. IIRC, there was a thread at the same time about custom shop order wait times, and my post was meant as an "inside" joke from that other thread.

Eventually when you're old and can't rock anymore cause you're too drunk I want it.

The guy Frantic from the ESP Forum was selling his. Had to jump on it, i havent seen one for sale in years. its dead mint too. I picked up a bunch of other stuff too in the past few years, i have to get around to taking pics though.

You sold all of the ESP's you had ?

Yeah take some pictures. I still have my Custom MI I that looks like a KH2 but inlays are horizontal and only 22 frets.

Um, that's pretty much where I am right now. But ya gotta get in line. Too many people want that guitar.

I was wanting one of the ESP Alexi offset V's for a really long time and finally managed to pick up my first one in 2007. I've posted the stock picture because my shots don't look nearly as good.

I ended up getting rid of all of my other guitars to get a couple more of the V's and now I have three.

2008 Gibson Custom Shop '61 SG/LP Reissue in Sparkle Green.

Jim from Southpaw Guitars in Houston is da man.

I was searching online for SG colors for a potential Warmoth SG guitar build when I bumped into this:

3-4 years later, I spot that very guitar on Southpaw's website. Called up Jim, made a deal and the rest is history.

Bonus: someone took a video of Jim's store back then and put it on YouTube. The guitar is in there (at about 48secs in)...

I always wanted a prs McCarty, got one and sold it... Stupidest thing I've ever done. I highly miss that guitar. Gas got the best of me, it was even the right color. :(
