What guitars does everyone have?

Thanks for the info, maybe I should look into a Charvel instead? They seem to have some nice strat style guitars.
I think it's the same with most Charvels, LOL. Today's Charvels are not far off from just being Mexican Fenders with Floyds and a different neck profile.

I'm not saying it's a bad thing, BTW. I'm just saying that many Strats with humbuckers might not be what you expect if you're used to Gibsons.

I've got a Yamaha rgx612a that I put a 81 in the bridge position. It's a pretty nice guitar, but the tremolo system is useless so I had it blocked. The guitar is from '88 I believe??

I've also owned a Yamaha Image Deluxe with the same trem (RM-Pro) and it stayed it tune really well. I'm hell on wang bars. I use them to excess. LOL

My latest guitar, purchased in October

Just installed a Seymour Duncan SH-6 in the bridge, now it actually rips.

Also have these.....and an es335..... somewhere.

Also have a cheap Yamaha acoustic that I have upgraded...but it's got a face for radio.

Wow that is cool, I like it! What is that kind of bridge called as I don't think I have seen one before, or is that standard on headless guitars?
This is a HILS....it's their stock fixed bridge. Not sure what oem makes it....but hils is a Korean brand, for the US.

It also is the tuners as well. It's a new style to me....but I wanted a headless for home and practicing.

I got a good deal on this one, but the pickups were blah. Very good deal for the money.....

Roasted maple neck.....real rosewood fretboard, mahogany body.....I paid 350$usd

Ok I see, its just new to me is all. Any reason you put the Duncan Distortion in instead of say something like a JB? I am only familiar with the JB and 59 in the neck on my ESP LTD MH1000

New to me too.

The SH-6 is my favorite pickup. I can't find another in the price range that I gel with as much.

I have literally picked this pick up every time I upgrade. It's just the best overall for my taste and playing style.

I see, I have never tried one but would like too. The only reason I am reluctant is I watched a video by a certain studio engineer comparing pickups in the same guitar which switched during the mix but without telling you when, and I really could not hear a difference through my studio monitors.
He also did a null test, and apart from some pickups being higher output than others the null test worked.

I do believe pickups make a difference, I am just unsure how much. I have a cheaper Aria guitar than my main one that I found in a skip lol, and once I gave it a setup it actually plays and feels really nice. The stock pickups are crap though, so I may well try a SH6 in the bridge and see what I think!

Mostly wooden
Hmm, thats quite an odd choice! Mine are mostly concrete, am I doing something wrong?

For me, it's about the attack, and the clarity.

I wanna hear every note when I play a chord ...and when I chugg.....I need to feel and hear the bite, I've tried a fair amount of pickups.... sometimes stock are ok.....most of the time, for what I need, it's sh6, all damn day.

But I am a tad grey around the ears.....so that may play a part too.

I play what I love. Period.

I might give the SH6 a try in my Aria then, like I said cheap guitar but it set up well but the included bridge pickup is lacking. It would be nice to try something different for a change so I am thinking why not that one.
