What if a group of adult males went around telling little kids that they “identify” as men and just wanted to read books to them? ??

They aren’t doing that. They are reading to kids in public forums like schools and libraries. Just admit it weirds you out and keep it moving. Pretending it’s dangerous is kinda retarded.

I admit it. And I would be equally weirded out if it was adult anyone identifying as anything, including straight. The fact that they want to expose their sexuality, gender, whatever to kids is the problem.

but only because you see homosexuality as unequal. Tell me this, say a man and a women read Snow White together to class. Would you object to that? Would you think they are flaunting their sexuality and “straightness”?

What if two men read a similar story, but a prince kissed an another dude to wake him up, would you object to that? Would you see one as having an agenda and the other just normal?
 
Reading to kids is an innocent and healthy thing for adults to do. I’m guessing a very very small percentage of people do so, and mostly teachers, librarians and perhaps seniors. But it appears that LGBT has outsized representation in this regard. That’s…strange

It’s because homosexuality still makes some people uncomfortable and sometimes manifests in weird ways like calling them dangerous or reciting Bible passages

Yes, I’d have a problem with the straight couple demonstrating sexuality as well, and if a group of straight Christians went around reading snow white and demoing heterosexuality I’d be just as perturbed. I would be weirded out if any group of adults took an interest in reading to kids and that in any way involved some attention to their gender or sexuality.

But what do you consider “drawing attention to sexuality”? Back to Snow White. Or Aladdin. Frozen? Any Disney movie that has a man and women pair to it, do you consider that drawing attention to straightness?

That’s a good question and it would be subjective. I’m not for a sexuality police officer at the library, I’m just saying something weird is going on and is clearly intentional. No one is worried about an occasional flaming gay or even weird trans dude at the library AFAIK.

It’s just different than your normal. 4 kids in my daughter’s grade, that I know of, have gay parents, and it’s not a big school.
Do you think a 5 year old with two moms at home might think it’s weird to see a mom and a dad in basically every book, tv show and movie they come across? If not weird, a little sad for them?
There is room for everyone.
