What is the best Multi-FX with MIDI and Best Priced

What pedal are you using to switch between patches?

I was doing exactly this back in the early 90's. For the $$ I would grab a used Rocktron Intellifex and then grab an old ART midi pedal. I picked up one at GC for $25. For what you described you need it for it works great for not alot of $$$. Used the Intellifex for lead boosts as well as effects. Less than $200 and yer done, AND the Intellifex sounds great!

G-major 2 can do anything: phaser, delays, chorus, flanger, very transparent, as MIDI and computer interface.

For me it destroyed my amps tone and I went through the white book and every other way of tweaking it. No matter what, my amp sounded better without the G System. The G also forces you to use it's modulation in the loop which is complete waste IMHO. Who uses phaser in the loop? Nobody unless you want it to sound like ass.

I can't understand why Digitech was able to to get the RP1000 to work in the 4CM and TC can't work out the bugs in the G System. The down side to the RP is I don't think it's effects sound that great.

EDIT. Opps, I thought you meant G System not G Major.

Plus, the RP1000 does not have MIDI

So far, it looks like the Rocktron, G Major II, or the Pod will work best.

I am picking up my 5150 III from the UPS hub after work. I will be doing comparisons to my Mark V this weekend.

After playing a Triaxis / 2:90, Mark III, Mark IV, for the last 9 years, I am looking forward to another type of voicing in my amp. I love the versatility of the Mark V, but I am ready for a change.

I use GROUNDCONTROL PRO to switch between patches and I run the G-Major2 in stompbox mode.
