Got three 4x12's currently, Splawn angled with a Creamback 65/V30 mix, Splawn straight with UK Greenbacks, and the Cornford with V30's. Judging by just a basic "quick and dirty" using my starting amp settings (EQ's at noon) and not really EQ'ing them, the Splawn angled with Creamback/V30 sounds best to my ear with the various amps I have.

My three cabs I’ve stayed with are zilla 412 os, fryette fatbottom, and Engl xxl.

Speaker wise,
Jbl d120,e120,k120
Altec 417
Celestion redback

And I suspect I’d love fane crescendo but the market is ruined by Pink Floyd fanboys

Looks like some sort of ports. No foam, but they said it is supposed to stop a standing-wave and have it so that the high, low and mid frequencies hit you at the same time rather than the highs hitting you first. Whether that’s true or not I don’t know, but it sounds great and unique. Very punchy, clear, detailed and hi-fi. With my other cabs also you can hear and feel the vibrations of the sides and back, like maybe there’s some sound leakage there, while this one seems to have none of that, giving this denser quality to the notes just all being pushed forward. It’s shorter and less wide, but deeper in dimensions. The maker is Smith Audio (his name is John Smith lol). I hope his stuff can actually make it into production. I’m glad to at least have mine

Wicked!

No other cab at all like it that I’ve tried. I really hope they can go into production. For close mic’ing especially it seems to be really punchy sounding and also less harsh somehow

Clearly the Crescendo’s are one trick ponies good for just that and definitely not huge chugs or aggression. I need to learn some Pink Floyd songs. I’ve been using them wrong this whole time. While I’m at it I also gotta start learning some Allman Bros and Santana to use my JBL’s and Altec’s the “right” way too

Marshall MOAB+ = Marshall BX Cab with Lynchback Quad
Surreal CM100 = Surreal Cab with Celestion Alnico Cream and H75 Creambacks in X Pattern

My 75s in it act weird with many amps
I got this cab with a redback/h75. I run neo creams and v30s in an x pattern in my Mills 4x12 and they sound great. The H75 is really thin and brittle in this 2x12 though. Couldn't get rid of it fast enough. Swapped a broken in V30 and it's paired really well with the redback.

JMP era straight 4x12 Marshall with UK Greenbacks.
Every amp sounds best thru it, compared to my other cabs. SLO, SS100, Wizard MC50, PRS Archon...
Haven't tried my bf Dual Showman thru it. Hmmmm.

Yeah keep us posted. That an Altec you have loaded up in there?

Yeah that was an Altec 417C. Sounded awesome through it. I've tried lots of speakers through it. Currently it has a JBL D120F in it

I only like v30s
I just can’t enjoy other speakers
Me too, but it means that I don't enjoy amps that don't get along with V30s. I flipped all the EVH heads and the Splawn I had just for that reason. If I had the Nitro and the Splawn 4x12 with the Small Block speakers at the same time, I would have probably kept them.

Did some swapping today.

The 1960BV is now an X pattern with V30/vented T75’s and one is now UK H30’s/V30’s

Both sounds great.

BV might be my favorite cab right now

Agree 100%. I absolutely swear by the M65 Creamback / V30 mix. I'm superstitious about UK V30s, but A/B test videos strongly suggest that after break-in, the 'International' V30s bring the goods.

For my ear, the the M65 brings some of that woody midrange that the H75 Creamback smooths over, making the M65 more complimentary to the V30 sound.

For me, my 80s Marshall Vintage cabs are my fav. Second being G12 65s with vintage GBs just behind. Vented T75s are up there too. The Marshall vintages from the 80s sound like a 65 but with V30 low end response, which to me is tighter than 65s.
I have an 87, and 89 m vintage cabs, an EVH cab with M20s and another 1960B with 2 6402s and 2 1966 H25s.

I’ve had D120s and Altec417s, great as well but have sold them.
