When doing big gigs, yes-- I paid roadies and techs etc., but when doing club gigs I am my own roadie, tech etc.

BUT

I would rather wheel a half stack across the parking lot at the end of the night when there's WAY more gravity, than to hand carry my Boogie combo.

That said, I take a roller cart when doing club gigs, so weight isn't a huge deal unless there are stairs. I hate doing gigs that I have to deal with stairs and no freight elevator.

For noodling at home, I have a REALLY cheap $20 SS Custom amp that works fine. Very light I can lift it with 1 finger.

Sounds like ASS compared to the REAL gear... Kind of a duh really, but I figure those who can-- DO, while those who can't and reserve the right to screech about it-- like the resident twit here-- are irrelevant re: anyone else and their results.

Well my main rig is all set. 05 KT88 Splawn QR into Eminence loaded 4x12, hand full of select pedals for the front/loop. And one of my LP’s.

Currently though I’m working toward a travel rig that’s close to my main tone. So...
Ordered a custom 50w Splawn SS w/KT88’s that will be in a 22w headshell. With that, I’m putting together a mini travel board that mimics the main one. A few of the pedals I use (KHDK ghoul, Carbon Copy, Decimator, etc) come in mini platforms.

I’m almost there, and will post pics when it’s all finished up.

If I had a gig tonight, I'd bring this set-up.

CFH wah-wah, Prescription Electronics "Vibe Unit", TC Corona chorus. The loop has a T-Rex delay and a TC "Hall of Fame 2" in it.

The floor monitor has a EVM12L, The top cabinet in the stack is an open back Boogie cabinet with a Fillmore 75, the bottom two are Boogie Thieles, one with a C90 and the other with a EVM12L. It's awesome to have a speaker closer to my ear compared to just one 1X12 on the floor. The monitor gives me more than enough "me" so I can run the rig on low (15 watts) power and not blast the crowd and still hear myself over a loud drummer. Three speakers together sound better than just one also.

The Quad pre amp & Strategy 400 power amp are still in the shop. I have a GCX that will control them all once they get back. I'm going to stick the 50/50 in a 2 space case and the TriAxis and power supply in another 2 space case for lunchbox style grab and go. The 400 will have it's own case and the Quad will share space with the GCX, a power supply and a BBE 822A. It will make for a great redundant rig, just in case either pre or power amp quits.

Hands down my 2C+/++ Coliseum into two old Marshall B cabs loaded with vintage G12M creamback 25w celestions. I still need a 2B Coliseum to use as a slave for my wet cab. For fx I'm old school rocktron intellipitch and lexicon pcm 81 for pitch/delays and a pq-3 to refine it all. Some think a strategy 400 in the king of the road but forget the high voltage GEQs that....and a sextet of STR415. The question is who wouldn't want to run two Coliseum heads?
