Singlecut standard

McCarty standard

both are solid mahogany. they are my favorite tone-wise right now with my band. I have a maple top Singlecut and a Custom 22(maple top) also.

the mahogany just brings the rock though....love 'em.

That brown quilt Suhr has me gassing so hard.................................

Suhrs, andersons, Zions, musicmans, SGs, Explorers, V's, Strats, Teles. etc

I love classic guitars like a good SG or Tele or of course, Strat or LP. But this is my baby:

My Carvin DC727C. Plays like a dream. I've got a set of Bareknuckle pick ups and an OFR going on there next week. she's a keeper
I love playing a 7, it makes me look at the fret board with a different perspective.

Shit man, how much did that go for...It's killer.

'63-Strat, it looks like Guthrie's Suhr.

I noticed ;) :D

It is a combination of his Root Beer Suhr and his current number one. Basically, the difference between those guitars is that his current number one is a mahogany neck and body, which is what I did with mine...

I'm sure that's sick. I've already got my normal strat/tele (alder/ash) tones covered, so if I got one, I could definitely see mahogany being the wood I'd choose actually.

I'd have bought a J-Custom last September if they had 6-string models w/o the middle pup. Of 6-string ones what they're offering now (H-H), I don't like the ones equipped with EMGs or the spalted ones... J-Customs are amazing.

To be brutally honest, only one of my guitars inspires/excites me - my Strat. I can write nice jangly clean progressions all day on that thing. Its a shame that it isnt what I want to write at the moment!

Id love a nice 24 fret HSS superstrat, low action, floyd etc. But a classy one, dot inlays, natural wood top etc. Shame I can only think of Carvin that can make one affordably, and even that is too much!

Any Jackson with an upside down head stock. Just screams metal.
