What On Earth Happened, Help Please

Ok So I have the Egnater 4100 Tourmaster and I bought it about 6 months ago. One day last week I went to use the record out (still had the speaker plugged in) and just ran the record out to my computer. Well all of a sudden my Amp was like weak. All my channels lost tons of gain and tons of volume in fact my very clean channel is barely audible when it used to be loud enough to play a concert with. The heavy distortion used to have a slight buzz when I turned it on and now it doesn't buzz at all and there is barely any distortion so something is wrong. So I unplugged the record out and let it sit for a while. After about an hour it worked again. The next day it was bad again, later that day it worked again, next day bad, then good, you get the point. I checked all the connections and redid the connections. I am going to call the place where I bought it after I hear from you guys so please help asap.
 
Does it work fine when nothing is in the record out?

If it is in/out no matter what, sounds like a preamp tube went bad. Have you tried swapping the preamp tubes to see if that changes anything?
 
no i stopped using the record out after the first incident so its not that. And I thought about tubes but I am kind of new to amplifiers and I wouldn't know what to do or what I was looking at so can any of you give me some guidance on how to check the tubes
 
Could be a couple of things but all tube related. Give me a call. 877-EGNATER

ok so i opened it up and they were all glowing and i made sure they weren't loose and it is working now (but it could be just one of those times it is working right so I will test it again later and tomorrow to make sure)
but now all the channels are humming even the clean that has very little gain and it is still not right. I did get an answer from the rigtalk forum and they said it was something with the tubes so I called the store where I bought it but there were busy so I will call back later. I will keep you updated

The tubes can be glowing, but that doesn't mean they are good. Get some new tubes and a multimeter and find the culprit.
 
Any tube amp that is always the first culprit to think of. If you have been playing the amp hard for 6 months that could wear out the tubes.

Sounds like it might just be the output power tubes. You might want to try replacing just those at first and see what happens.
