What Passive Bridge Pickup Is Closest To An EMG 81?

I kinda disgree on the Bill Lawrence stuff. It's kinda almost the complete opposite EQ profile. BL's are bright and scooped. The 81 is the opposite of scooped.

Never had a Bill, but I will say the Dimebucker is very bright and scooped. It's great with an overdrive that has thicker mids and a hpf/lpf setup, where you can cut a bit of treble and leave the lows intact while still boosting the center midrange.

Signature pickups of Misha Mansoor from Periphery, they previously came out with the Juggernaut set for him which was supposed to be dynamic, open and surgical in terms of precision in picking up nuances in pick dynamics etc.

The Ragnarok is basically the opposite, much more compressed in feel and sound but with enough headroom left that it doesn't feel like there's no dynamics left.

Super aggressive sounding but very fun to play, there's a video from Bare Knuckle themselves that goes over it all ()

I have a set in my misha USA 7 string and they're great fun to play, they coil split quite nicely too.

You gotta try the vintage Bill Lawrence’s. The recent ones in Dean CFH I had was as you described, but literally all their pickups from the ‘70’s and ‘80’s are very midrangey, mostly center and uppermids and not as sharp in the treble as the one in the Dean CFH. I’m not saying they sound just like EMG’s at all, but those and the vintage Mighty Mite’s would be my top choices if I wanted a passive alternative
